  1. No problem. Glad to help out. I received my screen protector a few days ago. I will be installing it tomorrow once I get my car along with my Husky floor mats.
  2. Problems with build quality happens to all car companies. When I bought my 2005 Mazda3, I waited until the second year of the model redesign. And even though I waited it still had build problems that I had to deal with. First was the front passenger door that sounded hollow and rattled when closing. There was a distinct sound compared to the other doors. Second was the drain holes in the B-pillars where water would collect and cause rusting from the inside out. They had to be replaced at year 3 of owning the car. Finally was the rear brakes. They changed the brake pad design and compound in the redesign of the 2004 Mazda3 and whenever reversing in cool to cold temperatures the brakes would squeal like a Son-of-a-B****. It was so bad that I had to make sure I was backed into my drive way at night so when I left the house at 6am I wouldn't wake the neighbors in the morning. When I say the brakes were loud it was really LOUD! There were threads all over the internet about those rear brake pads. It took almost a year after getting my car for Mazda to fix the problem. Problems are always going to happen when companies mass produce these cars. Unless you get your car built by hand and by a small group of people you will always find problems with a new car (some fewer than others).
  3. Look at the first post of this thread. http://www.blueovalforums.com/forums/index.php?/topic/52737-mis-alignment-between-left-side-of-dashboard-and-drivers-door/ The first image where the pillar connects to the dash you can see a gap with insulation peeking through. The passenger side is off a tiny bit but not as much as the driver side. The dealership will be fixing this (both ends).
  4. My car arrived at the dealer today and I went there to look it over before it got tinted. Everything looks really good except for the pillar fitting which the dealer is fixing before I pick it up Saturday. I looked at the gear shifter and I'm not sure it's the leather one, but I want to see a leather one first to see the difference. I may live with it and mention it at the first oil change (I just want the car already...lol) The car was absolutely filthy on the outside, surprising very clean on the inside. It proves these cars are air tight when all closed up. You can tell it was in the desert for 3.5 months. The interior seems so much bigger than I remember back in August when I first saw a Titanium. Well the big day is finally coming and it can't come any faster. Pics will be coming soon...
  5. So my car arrived at the dealership today and was in the shop to get tinted. I looked over it 100% considering it was really dirty on the outside. I looked at this pillar and mine was exactly like this. I spoke to the sales manager (who was taking care of me since it was my sales mans day off) and he noticed it and didn't think it was right too. So we looked at a Titanium that they had on the lot and the fit was perfect. So he will have it fixed for me before I pick it up Saturday morning. I'm not too worried about alignment with the door and the dash, but I don't like seeing a hole between the dash and the pillar.
  6. Check out this video at the 7 minute mark. Very interesting!!!
  7. This doesn't look normal. If yours comes like this I would ask the dealer to fix it.
  8. Hi Cyberdman, One last update please. VIN: 3FA6P0LU5DR151030 Thanks for your help!
  9. This is the link for them from AutoAnything.com http://www.autoanything.com/floor-mats/64A4402A0A0.aspx
  10. So today I pulled the trigger on the purchase of the Husky Liners from AutoAnything.com. They gave me a 10% discount code and shipping is free for just over $100. Much cheaper than the WeatherTechs. and the Husky's cover more of the dead pedal than the WeatherTechs (the only main difference I see between the two brands).
  11. Can I get an update please? If a VIN has been assigned can I get that too? CB1368 / 2696: Thanks!
  12. Great news EP! I should be getting mine this time next week. It sure is nice to finally know its on the way! If you go out today in the car, be sure to let me know how the hybrid handles in this crazy snow storm we are having!
  13. Try resetting the MFT system and see if that helps
  14. I will let you know in a week or two, once I get the car and the screen protector :-)
  15. Yep, just order the Fusion one. The one for the Ford Edge will also work too.
  16. Just an FYI and to dig up an old post. I just pulled the trigger in purchasing a screen protector for my Fusion. I grabbed the NuSheild Triple A http://www.nushield.com/. They list the 2013 Fusion now and makes it easier when ordering. I also found a 10% off discount code Anyways, the main reason for buying one is to limit the amount of finger prints.
  17. You can try this site to get touch up paint to repair the scratches. http://www.paintscratch.com/ It doesn't list Ruby Red as a colour for the 2013 Fusion, but if you send them the colour code they will send you the exact colour. The other option is get some touch up paint from the dealership. Depending on how serious the scratches are you might be able to buff them out. Deep ones will require touching up.
  18. It's probably the head unit of the MFT system. Unless one of the connectors in the back isn't plugged in properly. I would still take it in and have them investigate the issue.
  19. Does this happen on any stereo setting? Sat Radio, AM/FM, CD, USB, MP3 etc?
  20. I'm hoping this could be the last update for this car. VIN: 3FA6P0LU5DR151030 Thanks for your help!
  21. I saw this yesterday as well. I thought to myself "I saw this pic before!" It is a cool pic tho
  22. You can get push button start installed aftermarket. http://www.advancedkeys.com/index.htm Wheels are always easy to change, so it wasn't a deal breaker for me. I actually like the 18" Premium rims that are offered on the SE Hybrid. Too bad Ti Hybrid buyers cannot get those rims. I think they look nicer than the stock Ti Hybrid rims.
  23. Only the Sony radio on the Titanium models (Gas, hybrid and Energi) support HD satellite radio.
  24. I think you're using the UK Imperial MPG figures to get 55MPG. 5.1L/100km is actually 46 MPG US The projected fuel economy on these cars in Canada doesn't seem achievable from what people are posting here. The figures for Canada is 4.0L/100km City and 4.1L/100km Hwy which converted to US MPG = 58.8 MPG city and 57MPG Hwy. Only time will tell...
  25. if you're getting 43.6mpg now you shouldn't have any issues once the weather warms up and the winter gas has been changed.
