Ford Said to be Shifting Plans for Flat Rock (again...)
fordmichiganman replied to Footballfan's topic in Ford Employee Forum
Frap has good reputation? It is by far the lowest skilled assembly plant in the us. Extremely high downtime. The highest repair offline in ford. On paper the ie guys love frap work groups. Real world- plant is mass chaos (production, trades, salary share work) International hates this plants local contract. That's why international and ford plan to the idle the plant in couple years. -
This plant is currently having all production and skilled trades on short work week. No rules are being followed, it's all on a management buddy system. Some people working 24hrs, others are laid off. Crazy how full shifts of trades are told to stay home. Can't get 40 hours anymore except for a select few on special lists.

Yes, yes, do not know, do not know, launch is terrible, no 3rd shift plans
-
Jimmy settles agreed to a side deal for two tier trades at flat rock.
-
Mustang launch will start slow in middle of July, no Lincoln this year
-
Things are falling apart in flat rock, Tony Bondy (Chairman) just signed over 300 grievances off the books. All so he could get 5 weeks of TLO????? This place has turned into chaos. Plant downtime is insane. Highest breakdown time per car in North America. Looks like things are going to get worse.

Question for FRAP Electricians
fordmichiganman replied to Slipperyelectron's topic in Ford Employee Forum
Well when you are wrong.....you are wrong...also I work there too. The trades are msog and esog. Most of the "MAZDA" employees are no card hacks. I have been there since the start. I did not know how bad the work force was until transfers and new hires came in. Things are looking up with the new regime though....we will see. -

Question for FRAP Electricians

You are wrong sweetlid, it is more than 50 cents. -
Cal50 is a hardcore tea party puke. No one can opt out in michigan right now. No one in ohio can opt out either. What non union production worker gets the pay and benifits we do.
-
Peope like you are making it hard for the next generation. We pay nothing for health care, which is like no one I can think off. The average single person pays 328 per month, I pay ZERO. I agree fight for your raise. You really think RTW is better for you??
-
Yea your an idiot. You think you will make more with no union. Hhhaaahaha. Average production worker wage in USA is 25000 per year. Good luck with that.
-
Yea.. I want to pay one penny a year in union dues and make 500,000 a year. Real life is people will work for no benifits and 13 dollars per hour. Makes it hard to compete with non union companies. You wouldnt believe work conditions on non union shop. People always complain, I fight for everything we can get as a union. Have to keep fighting for more, but the facts make it hard to get anywhere.

Overtime looks bleek, I am getting every other Saturday if I am lucky. We have an open ocn, so contractors do whatever they want anytime they want -
Question for FRAP Electricians
fordmichiganman replied to Slipperyelectron's topic in Ford Employee Forum
Not sure what you are talking about??? We have two tier electricians in the plant and starting Monday the start times moved an hr to 7-330pm, 3-1130pm, 11-730am. -
The people spoke, people that needed to go got booted, and booted hard. Now charges on our former chairman are being pushed hard. More charges may come against our former bargaining reps and former skilled trades rep. They all had no clue what they were doing.
-
C crew at flat rock?? Not this year
-
Stick together, get involved with the union.
-
You dumbass!!!! The Only committeeman we have is on days!!!! All shifts should vote!!!!!You are so stupid!!!
-
YOU DUMB B***H. THERE IS NO B SHIFT OR C SHIFT SKILLED TRADES REP. THERE IS A PRODUCTION/SKILLED TRADES REP ON OFF SHIFTS BUT THEY DO NOTHING FOR TRADES BECAUSE OF HAVING TO DEAL WITH PRODUCTION. ALSO MORE THAN 300 TRADES IN PLANT. YOU MUST BE IN WITH THE SHADY "BONDY BUNCH." I SEE THEY PASSED NEW BYLAWS TODAY TO TRY TO COVER UP WHAT THEY ALREADY MESSED UP. FYI DIE WAHRHEIT - whinning IS NOT A WORD YOU UNEDUCATED NUTJOB
-
We only have one skilled trades committeeman, all shifts always voted on it....until 1 day ago. Die Wahrheit you must not know what the hell you are talking about, or the strain our chairperson has put on the trades.
-
Bob madden supporter suffered a broken nose in the melee. It clearly states in the bylaw that skilled trades gets one full time committeeman, voted by skilled trades. Yet the chairperson is saying we can not vote.!!!!!!!
