2022 Super Duty Orders & Discussion
tanner83 replied to mrmallerd's topic in F-Series SuperDuty Forum
Does anyone have a really good understanding of the Chicago rail yard and how vehicles move in and out? I was able to get the carrier and car number, NS 171079. I tracked it to Chicago but it is just sitting there since the 24th. Can anyone tell me what constitutes a departure? Am I waiting for the auto track rail car to be full of cars headed to the west coast? -
Ordered. 2022 Titanium PHEV 11/17/2021. Order scheduled 2/12/22 and built 2/21/2022. Order shipped 2/22/2022. Order loaded on CSXT rail and arrived Chicago train yard, 2/24/2022. Order has not moved since then! Anyone know how long they usually sit in Chicago???

That is an interesting observation and may be somewhat applicable to my concern. My battery does charge past half way, in fact I have seen it all the way full, but when going highways speeds what I have seen is the the electric engine kicks on(evidenced by the electricity down arrow on the battery) rather than charging up enough to fully take over the speed of the car.

So just got my software update on Wed. Took it out on the Freeway at speeds from 65 to 80 mph. One thing I noticed right away was that on the empower setting which shows how much battery power is available with a blue outline the outline bar never grew. Now this is different at lower speeds where the outline bar does grow, until such point where it overcomes the ICE and then the electric motor kicks on. I do know the software update was performed correctly for when I applied the brake and slowed down to say 70 mpg the electric motor would kick on but only while braking or coasting. It appears that the RPM required for the car to go 65 or above on a flat surface road is to strenuous for the electric motor to kick on. I would appreciate some of you checking this out on your hybrids and letting me know what you think. Thanks, Tanner

Why do we have to update Sync on our own?
tanner83 replied to xgman's topic in Lincoln Motor Company Discussion
Hey Guys, long time no talk..... Looks like I have some catching up to do..... I will go to sync and download the update!! Hope you all are doing great and still enjoying your cars! Laters -
Ok, this has been very helpful. I just sent an email to my service manager to make sure that they know how to enable this. If they dont I will use the contact information above to get them to talk to a service organization that has performed this work. One thing I was unclear about, it appeared that on the preceding page there was some discussion about two settings for the DRL's one low and one high. I think the overall consensus was the High setting looked better? I am understanding that right XG?

Ok, almost at 4K here with my Z-brid, the heat is definitely taking a toll on my mileage which makes sense, you have to power the AC with something either gas or electricity!! I am right at 41.2 I think for lifetime. Continue to like the car, although it is a bit of a gutless wonder for acceleration. The engine when it activates the ICE is loud, but levels out at higher speeds. I continue to love the technology and for the most part MyLincoln Touch. Whats up with you guys?? How is it going?

Recalls. Is your '13 MKZ on the list?

Hey XG, I called on mine as well and they did not find any campaign's for my car either. -
Tracking MKZ Hybrid Mileage
tanner83 replied to tanner83's topic in Lincoln Motor Company Discussion
Well it is starting to get hot here in Arizona, and I am starting to see a decrease in MPG for my Zbrid. Having that AC on definitely sucks some juice from the battery. At about 40.1 MPG this tank, with lifetime of 42.1. I don't know if you guys back east have freeway speed limits of 75, we do here in AZ. I just don't feel right going 60 in a 75 zone, feels like I am causing a hazard. I do agree with you though there is a huge difference between driving above 62 and below 62 mph. -
So I just read this article, and having almost 3K on my hybrid in some ways I do concur. My gas engine is noisy, and when it kicks on the active noise cancellation does not cover it up at all! I think it was stupid though to compare a hybrid with a german sports car, because one has 188 hp combined and the other has much more than that, so obviously the german car is going to be more sporty. And it is true that it is a drastic switch in drive style that people have to make if they want 42 plus MPG consistently. Now having said that I drove the 300h and it was a nice car but..... it would not maintain 62 MPH on EV, it did not have near the technology that MLT does, nor did it have near the fuel/hypermiling technology that allow me to take advantage of my Lincoln hybrid. So all in all those are exactly why I did not jump in January when Lincoln still had a big TBD on where and when my order was going to arrive. Note for XG and Serraph - Ok and my wife said no you are going to wait for the MKZ. I know you guys would have remembered my rant from long ago and called me on my statement above

Hey Stent, one other item I would suggest is that you should drive home the point that the delay caused by your multi contour seats and the lack of communication was not at all what you expected from a Luxury brand. Ford/Lincoln need to get it through their heads that until they start taking accountability for their direct actions that caused us to be so frustrated, all the 100 dollar gift cards, crappy little wooden boxes, and a night out on the town is not going to make up for it. Which means you need to drive that home in your survey comments!

Miscellaneous Transit Delay (Auto Warehousing )
tanner83 replied to II6h067II's topic in Fusion Forum
I would concur, when I was waiting for my hybrid, this occured as well. Did you order anything different with your model, such as seat belt air bags, gingerale color, etc..... I have some some of these add on's cause delays, as the stated above, they don't stop production but instead put your car in storage off site. Sorry for the frustration, I know how that feels. Order OCT,2012 received Mar, 2013 -
Tracking MKZ Hybrid Mileage
tanner83 replied to tanner83's topic in Lincoln Motor Company Discussion
I agree 45 is pretty much impossible, but 42 is doable, as long you don't have over say 50 percent freeway driving at plus 65 MPH. -
Boy nothing gets by you guys does it!!

could not agree more XG!

Dude, really nice looking car, glad yours came in buddy! As for keeping the sales person past closing, tell them they kept you 4 months past delivery!!! -
Ok, so going back to my point. Is there a way to configure the alarm to lock your doors after x minutes after the car is shut off?
