  1. Please post the 2014 C-Max info once it's available. Thanks
  2. That's just what the EPA test cycle says. We all know that those numbers cannot be counted on in the real world
  3. Ford didn't think 47 MPG highway was possible, the EPA says it's possible. Ford is required by law to publish the results of the EPA cycles. Blame the governement The problem is that your commute is not hybrid friendly. With that much highway driving at high speeds a diesel would net higher fuel economy
  4. This makes me wish we had a 2014 instead of a 2013!! Grrr darn you Ford causing me to become discontented so quickly with our new car!!
  5. I would call Ford Customer Service and tell your story to them an complain about that dealer. They don't seem to understand that the engine in the FFH is NOT the same as the EB 2.0. Wow!! That's a crazy story. Lesson learned. I will start always checking my oil after getting it changed somewhere now after your two bad experiences.
  6. Did you have a specific bad experience?
  7. Ouch! That stinks. I hope they give you some sort of other compensation for their error. I agree. I am a bit leery about using the 3 years worth of free oil changes the dealer gave me...I don't trust the punk kids they have changing oil in 30 minutes for minimum wage. That doesn't indicate quality work
  8. The 13 has an oil life monitor. Does the 10? Because I'm a little paranoid with this being my first NEW car I changed the oil myself after a couple hundred miles to get out any metal shavings that fell into the oil. The dealer gave me 3 free oil changes per year for 3 years so I plan to use all of those up. I used one after about 1000 ICE miles and then another one after another 3000 ICE miles. I figure I'll be able to get the oil changed every 3000 ICE miles for the first few years using up those free oil changes. Changing the oil every 3000 ICE miles will be about every 6000 odometer miles so that seems like a reasonable interval to protect the car for a long time. I'd like to see this car go 200,000 or more miles
  9. We haven't experienced any heat yet in MN so it remains to be seen how much the A/C will lower fuel economy. Like your 2010 the 2013 has a display to show how much electricity is being drawn by the A/C so that you can adjust your settings accordingly
  10. When sitting the ICE will come on if the HVAC system requires heat in the coolant to heat the cabin or if the HVB gets too low and the ICE needs to charge it The engine does drone a bit because of the CVT and seems to have a high pitched sound. I attribute that to the engine design being so different from a conventional vehicle
  11. So are they able to lock it in if your VIN is assigned before the coupon expires? I requested C-Max and Fusion brochures and got no coupons. My parents are looking at a C-Max Energi and got a coupon but there won't be any in stock by the time it expires so they would need to get it locked in on an order
  12. Below freezing the car seems to really take a hit. Below 32 the ICE will never warm up in city driving enough to have heat on in the car unless you run the ICE more than is needed to propel the car. In MN we saw about 38-40 MPG on most tanks of gas all throughout the winter. The last two tanks have been around 42-43 MPG because the temps have been between 25-40. Once the temp gets above 50 consistently I know we'll see 47+ MPG. We had one tank that was at 50+ MPG for the first 200 miles but then the weather turned cold again and lowered it.
  13. We had an issue with a headliner rattle. The dealer replaced a broken clip and fixed it. No issues with stretching or wrinkles in the headliner
  14. No issues for us. Works perfectly every time. So glad we got our FFH before Ford got rid of the touch sensitive buttons Yes this happens. It is quite cool
  15. Which dealer was the best to work with? We had a great experience buying our Fusion Hybrid from Apple Valley Ford
