  1. Hopefully they come sooner than later, but so far no development makes have been spied running around. Maybe they are still in the brainstorming stage? I remember the 22 spy photos being posted in 2019. My wife and I have driven the nav and denali back to back twice now, she said no to the denali both times.
  2. It does have some neat features and looks pretty good. However, the third row room/cargo and sla rear kinda prevent me from wanting to look at it.
  3. There's plenty of press articles and videos on the sequoia, have you not seen any? https://www.caranddriver.com/news/a38857490/2023-toyota-sequoia-revealed-hybrid/
  4. Did toyota benchmark the last gen gms for their new suvs? It's like they regressed. Shorter, solid rear axle, tighter third row, less space behind rear seat? Outside of the engine, which ford needs to add to expy/nav like yesterday, it's not very compelling.
  5. I wonder if they were able to carve out more space the the lx or if it has the same amount of room.
  6. The problem now.accordimg to the other forums is that people are wanting to order but don't know what they are ordering. Because the 2022 site hasn't been updated at all (unlike the nav page), theres no pics of any trim outside plat, tim, and spp, no interior colors or pics, and no pics of the other screen, tach features, etc. It's weird ford would make the vehicle available to order, yet not update the site to atleast show the generic pics of each trim.
  7. You probably have more insider info than I have, did they ever try to make a high performance fs suv? I do remember a magazine pulled info on a ford expedition thunder or somethin similar. The second gen platform seemed to be very flexible with what they could do with it.
  8. All of ford recent performance vehicles are new vehicles or new platforms, dedicated to high performance. The current expy/nav platform has been used since 2006 with slight modifications. Even if you consider the current platform as new,, its using older components that were made more for durability than anything else. It's not like what they did with the explorer, where they built a whole new dedicated platform with a high performance model in mind. There hasn't even been so much as a concept for a high performance fs suv. Maybe the phrase "ford doesn't have the tools" was a little much I personally dont think ford is able to turn that fs suv platform into they would want their high po name on. I'll eat crow if they ever do though.
  9. Specifically speaking on the nav/expy platform, they do not have the tools to turn it sporty. I wonder if the godzilla engine would fit. Drop it in, add some superchargers, heavy duty springs. I would personally love to hear the 5.2 In an expy or nav.
  10. G63 and gls63 are two different vehicles in two different classes with different missions. Im in no way making disparaging remarks about ford or their performance division, I mean they built the ford gt and mustang gt 350r/500, premier and revered in the sports car world, but The point your missing with my point is, why would ford/lincoln make this product? Lincoln has moved away from any sporty pretentions with their products, and im sure, for their large suvs, which ford has historically let slide on normality and "good enough", what would they do to make it sporty. No matter what cadillac, or any of lincolns competitors did, they dont really follow what it's competitors do, which I personally appreciate. Even talking about the raptor r, didn't ford redo the engine compartment with the redesign to allow space for such a big engine? Would ford put more resources into redoing the front end of the nav to make the space for a v8? Hell, ford didn't even add the powerboost to the suv line, atleast for now. Yes, most large suvs with the "performance" packs aren't track dogs like the cars, but I don't see ford performance division wasting their time on a product that people aren't asking for.
  11. The 3rd gen cycle lasted so long without a refresh because it was due to be cancelled after 2012 amid the oil inflation. It pushed back the refresh from 2012 to 2015. Remember, the 2nd gen trucks cycle was 4 yrs, with a light refresh two yrs in the cycle.
  12. I was using sporty, not sport. For wat the nav competitors are, desert bombing isn't wat a sporty version of the nav would be.
  13. We will see what the future brings, who knows, maybe the expy spp is a trial run. But people have been clamoring for a true lightning successor and ford has yet to build it. I can admit, I had more fun in my 18 expy in sport mode than anything that big should allow, but it wasn't sporty. Everytime I've driven a nav, its nowhere close to being able to handle the 450hp it has, let alone an extra 300hp.
  14. As fas as design, the 22 nav is still the best looking Inside and out(except the rims), to include the lx600. However, lincoln didnt add enough tech to make itself competitive with the class (night vision, ar nav, 4 zone climate, air suspension, digital rearview mirror, etc.). It could've been the discount option, but now both bl versions top 100k. People are gonna have a hard time justifying missing certain features for the 100k price point. Rumor is the nav will get a redesign in 24, with the expy getting one a year later. Doesn't rele make since, but I'm guessin, if this is true, the nav is such a profitable vehicle and the competition just got better, they don't want it to lag. However, if that was the case, there would be some mules riding around, which there are none. However, lincoln was shown benchmarking the gw, so development may have started. I'm sure, my25 will be a redesign for both products though.
  15. But tis the raptor truly sporty, or capable? It can go fast in a wide open desert, but put it on a track and see how well it does. The v sport is clearly a track rig to go against the, srt durango, gls amg and Alpina x7, and they are both track trucks. The closest ford has gotten to this in 2 decades was the explorer st and its nowhere near the same league as the aforementioned.
  16. They won't, dord doesn't have the tools to tune a truck for sporty pretentions. I think lincoln wants to stay in th lane they been doin nice in.
  17. Embargo lifted, the lx reviews are out. Looks promising, but the pricing structure for trims and opt is whacky and the f sport trim is getting dinged for ride, which is true for all lexus suvs.
  18. They must be working on the engine tuning still yo get as much hp as they can. These things gonna be marked up to 150k...for a cadillac.
  19. Comparing kbb to what's on lincoln for the 2022 nav, the kbb build and price seems very reliable.
  20. Looks like land cruiser body but with irs instead of solid axle, and tundra face.
  21. Normally, ford updates the sites to new model year build and price a week or so from the new years job #1 build date. The build date for the 22 expy(nav) is today yet no b&p. Hell, you can't even order a 21 model, so why the delay? Anyone with inside info know when the sites will be updated?
  22. Whatever options you plan to add, make sure you know the exact order number for them to make sure you get the exact config. Theres been some confusion with the 2nd row opt config.
  23. Yes and fog lights. However, they are reflectors now, not projectors.
  24. Front led headlamps std all trims, led tailamps std from ltd to plat, timberline not included.
