You bring up an interesting point. I bet there would be a lot of Fusion owners interested in some of the "new" parts. As long as they are quick swaps and easily available. Could create a new aftermarket market.
I agree, i don't think a top tier fusion starting at 50k would do well in the states. However slap a Lincoln badge on it and make it its own model and you might get more sales. Although it doesn't scream Lincoln to me.
Interesting - I decided to order a 2013 Edge - but for a while was considering waiting until next June/July to see what the 2015's were going to be like. If the deal falls through on delivery I might still do that.
My dodge had this problem when I bought it- after 1 year it started to bubble under the paint. I had read about it on forums too and even some nightmare stories about how the dealer won't cover it - blah blah blah. I went to my dealer and he said he's seen it before and even explained how it was a bad batch of hoods with bad seams that weren't sealed properly. Anyway - they replaced it no problem and never had another problem. Sure hope Ford gets a clue and gets the issue resolved.
