  1. Sounds like the fire sale Ford had on the 2014 Focus when the changeover to '15 happened.
  2. HAHAHAHAHA!!!! HAHAHAHAHA!!!! HAHAHA!! Oh that's funny. Thanks, I needed that!
  3. I see a lot of AT&T vans driving around that are CNG. It seems mostly limited to their newer E-Series vans, but I have seen the occasional Super Duty truck. The rest are either newer Transit Connect vans with their standard engines or the big Super Duty trucks with the cherry pickers on them which are all diesels.
  4. The only thing EVs really cut out of the assembly process as it relates to ICEs is the engine line. Interior and main chassis parts are done done with the same amount of stations. Full disclosure, It's really hard for me to accurately say what the process is for the Focus BEV built at MAP. I spent 90% of my time there exclusively on Door line and the days I wasn't they didn't build a single BEV.
  5. That's been the FCA way when it comes to small cars for the last 5-7 years And before that the Chrysler way. And before that the Diamler-Chrysler way. And before that the.... You get the picture.
  6. Right. Until all those issues have been reasonably resolved, EVs will be the majority of the minority. PHEVs might be the better alternative. Best of both worlds IMO.
  7. I still don't believe EVs will be the majority of cars on the road, at least in the next 10-15 years. They will be the majority of the minority in alternative powertrains.
  8. Yep, that's why I would love to buy a place up north and just go off the grid entirely.
  9. It could literally be anything as far as I'm aware. For all we know it was a fluke thing.
  10. My point is being a launch has absolutely nothing to do with a die splitting, it's just coincidence that's when it happened. I know that launch was seriously screwed up, but that's the one thing that nobody could do anything about. It just happens sometimes.
  11. They're nearly identical. Like a previous poster said, the current rules set doesn't allow for much wiggle room for any particular builder to dominate for an extended period of time.
  12. That doesn't necessarily have anything to do with a launch. That's happened to a C-Max die in the middle of a model year. They had to send it to Dearborn to be fixed.
  13. That's because Windoes XP was really good. There's a reason that so many people are still using it after MS stopped mainstream support for it.
  14. Because I don't like the fact that Microsoft still won't tell me what kind of information they are taking from people's computers. I feel that's a slippery slope that has no good ending.
  15. My next machine I home build will likely just be a straight license transfer. I refuse to get Win10 Next one I buy will be a Mac. ProTools works best on Mac OS anyway so that will likely be a studio-only rig.
  16. Home Premium 64-bit. Had to go with that version because of what ProTools required.
  17. Personally, I've had more issues with Win7 than I did with Vista. I didn't want to upgrade at all but ProTools 10 doesn't run on Vista very well (wouldn't even install IIRC) and I needed it for school at the time.
  18. I've seen screenshots of some of the source code to Windows. The stuff hidden in <!> tags is crazy
  19. I have a hard time putting blind faith into computer programs working correctly.* I really don't see how fully autonomous vehicles will become the standard without some sort of manual override. *Especially if Microsoft has anything to do with it.
  20. You surprise me. I figured you would be looking at an Energi model.
  21. I've seen the car in every trim it will be offered in. This "Buick-ish" Continental simply doesn't exist. Also, MSRP according to the Lincoln rep at NAIAS is targeted for "Under $50k"
  22. My dad has a 2014 Fusion with the 1.6L ecoboost/manual transmission and he loves it. Good luck finding them though, they're a rare breed. As far as maintenance on it is concerned, is not too difficult, unless you're changing the oil. There's a plastic cover that covers the entire bottom of the engine bay that needs to be removed first before you can even get to the drain and filter. There's something like 14 screws holding the damn thing up and it's just a total pain in the ass if you don't have a hoist, or at a bare minimum, jack up the front end. That's the one thing I have bad to say about that car. Good luck in your search, I hope you find what you're looking for.
  23. Would you happen to have a link to that document? I'm very curious to read it.
