  1. The old Continental concept from 2002
  2. They can, I'm just worried about me and all my friends who are on C-crew that are about to lose our jobs
  3. I had it confirmed, C-crew is going away June 22nd. MAP will go down to a 2 crew schedule.
  4. The more I think about it, the more I realize I might be reading more into the whole "no recall or transfer rights thing" than I probably should
  5. That would be how I would want to go out
  6. What do you mean displaced? I didn't know they moved LTS employees and I can't imagine they would give them an ILO this close to summer.
  7. Anyone who isn't tier 2 I would imagine would wind up in Flat Rock. Word is they are opening up a third shift soon to help meet international demand for the mustang. The rest of us are probably out of a job
  8. well then i guess my time at ford will be ending since tier 2 doesnt have recall rights
  9. I just heard from a friend of mine who was told by his team leader that C-crew is getting shit-canned and our last day is June-28th. Anyone else heard this?
  10. It's for the driveshaft for the AWD models. The hump up near the gear selector is not nearly big enough for a transmission
  11. I wonder how many diesels Volkswagen sells. They've been pushing their so called "clean" diesels for a while
  12. My guess is MY2016 is the last for MKT/Flex
  13. The flaw with your hypothetical is the Taurus is supposed to be moving with the continental That and we all know that Flex/MKT are both pretty much dead in the water at this point
  14. Absolutely, they already do that anywhere a Lincoln is made. They even do it in Flat Rock with the Fusion and Mustang.
  15. it would seem as if Biker wants Ford to build its cars using super expensive and hard to mass-produce carbon fiber then watch car prices soar overnight
  16. Thanks for the clarification. I edited to reflect that.
  17. I don't think there is an agreement with UAW to move anything to Flat Rock yet, which is why I was speculating we won't hear anything concrete about it until September (at earliest) when the current contract expires. Everything I know about moving anything to Flat Rock is just very strong rumor at this point, and has been backed up by Robert Lane and (i think) akirby. This is the "where there's smoke, there's fire" type of rumor so keep an eye out come fall and we should have more of a solid idea of what's going on. Same goes for the Lincoln compact sedan I've referred to here a few times. Not much rumor about it on the floor at MAP, but I've heard so much rumbling elsewhere about it, there has to be some truth to it in the next 1-2 years. Maybe around the time of the reveal of the next-gen Focus.
  18. Oh they are, they are just hoping people don't notice.
  19. Possibly, it was the company I worked for before Ford, and God knows where they bought their used vans from.
  20. I've seen cargo work vans labeled as a club wagon.....
  21. So its a different name for the passenger vans than the cargo van. Because that's necessary.
  22. Well I think we stumbled on one of the reasons why Ford has a hard time making a profit in Europe!
  23. That's an easy one. It's not 1995 anymore and it's not BOF so the people stuck in the 90s and 00s don't like it.
