  1. Agree 100%.... The people want a RWD bias platform for Lincoln, with some V8, we want lots of things differently than they are.
  2. Tbh the power is unimpressive to me and is probably more dangerous than necessary in this Navigator. It's not a race truck, and it really should just have a nicely relaxed 400hp 450lb ft V8
  3. Any ecoboost I've ever been in has had turbo lag and frankly my buddies f150 3.5tt stinks..... I'd rather a 5.3 and do some mods to get the stock power he has, or just go for a GM 6.2..... As far as the new stuff, while it's been updated, I imagine what GM has in the labs for the next Escalade will probably make this Navigator seem outdated. I'd assume it will receive a new motor with the 10-spd, potentially Cadillac exclusive. As I've said before, my DTS Platinum with the HO 4.6 is lovely and without a V8 the car would be a joke, but I must say the torque steer is horrendous and no technology can change the poor driving dynamics of a FWD-bias vehicle. I guess what I'm trying to figure out is if Lincoln is competing against Buick, Acura, etc or Cadillac, Mercedes, BMW, Lexus, Audi? Because the latter all have a mix of FWD/AWD and RWD/RWD with 4/6/8 and some with 10's and 12 cylinder engines, whether it's for performance, rarity, or the standard of premium luxury for a full size flagship........ Infiniti even throws a V8 in there, and what about Range Rover? Lincoln seems to still copy Jaguar and Range Rover looks, so why don't they copy their mechanical components too?
  4. Lincoln and Cadillac really ought to just hire me.... The problem Cadillac is having is the XTS is beautifully styled interior wise and very comfortable. The ATS/CTS/CT6 are wayyy too sporty. The ATS and CTS-V are good enough, the rest just need to be RWD-bias with a smooth and comfortable ride and powerful engines, especially the CT6 with a V8. That's where the Continental could really win. It's huge, nicely styled, powerful although it should have a V8 option, and another problem is, it is FWD-bias. Look, I have a Lincoln LS, MKZ, CTS, and DTS Platinum sitting in my driveway right now. Yes, it looks like a premium luxury used car lot. If I could have my DTS Platinum RWD with that gorgeous 4.6 V8 and plush ride, I'd be in my glory. Its beautifully styled and rides like a dream, but it's missing something with that FWD thing that some people can dig. I love the car and won't deny for that reason, but no mistaking it would and could be better in that respect.
  5. Well, we already knew the current MKZ was going bye bye, but the actual name dying is good too..... They should take this opportunity to re-enter the midsize sport sedan market.....
  6. Cavalcade would fit better in Cadillac's lineup, eh? I have one in white with large chrome rims and limo windows with every performance upgrade..... My vehicle of choice on GTA.....
  7. I forgot if we talked about it, I don't feel like reading everything again. Is the production Navigator going to be revealed in LA? Or will they wait for NYIAS? Just curious.....
  8. Haha! It shows the demographic that the car is appealing to..... I would be inclined to agree with your assessment, but I have to disagree on the account of the "family" MKZ...... I'll upload a pic. I've been meaning to get together with cousin's and aunt, and put my LS, my sister's CTS, my mother's MKZ, my aunt's ATS, my cousin's C300's white and black, and I could also include my other cousin and his IS250...... Let's see which looks the best.... I bet the LS.......
  9. For the record I've seen 5 different CT6's out and about, but 0 Continental's.....
  10. My dealer had 2 sold before they got there..... one base FWD in the silver color with black interior and they told me that it would get sent out immediately to a place to have a black cloth top installed for the buyer, who had driven Town Cars forever....... the other was a Reserve I believe. Then 2 sat on the lot, a white reserve got sold immediately, and the black Premier is still sitting there going on 3 weeks or more if I remember correctly..... not bad at all, if I remember correctly, the Cadillac dealer literally just across the way sold roughly 6 CT6's within a couple weeks and then it picked more, but they've a couple sitting as well. I notice that in both the CT6 and Continental, they have high prices, what used to be the norm for a Navigator or Escalade, on the lots.....
  11. So I can't discuss Ford/Lincoln openly here? If you want me to leave, I'll leave...... I don't see why my views make a difference in these threads, just about every time I post on something it turns into the whole crazy show about RWD and supercars..... I'm looking to give my opinions on the current Lincoln, which may or may not involve comparing those other premium luxury brands. I refuse to buy any foreign brand, I just won't do it, until I'm forced. It's only Cadillac and Lincoln for me.
  12. Haha rperez817 and I could almost be brothers lmfao.... I don't know him, but I've been a member longer, and am highly critical of Ford's management of Lincoln, as you all know, clearly..... in any event, Lincoln could be better right now. The Navigator could have a 5.0, and the MKZ could've just gotten the logical thing to do, which would've been a "Continental" rear fascia, and a slightly new interior, instead of leaving it the same as 2013 and ushering in a new face..... the MKT could be more handsome, the MKC could have more wood grain and different trims, and same for MKX. That's the easy end of it..... They also could've had a RWD-biased platform including RWD and torque vectoring for the MKZ, or a sport model...... FYI RWD doesn't always mean high performance just like FWD doesn't mean better MPG..... I don't need an ATS-V from Lincoln, I just need a $40-50k Lincoln "LS", but with modern design and technology........ What a joke to think they actually had the audacity to price the base LS in 06 at $39k.... what schmuks, wonder why shit failed.....
  13. The MKR absolutely should've made production IMO.....
  14. In any event, I want to make clear, I do NOT think they should drop everything and go completely RWD-biased platforms and V8's, that's not the point at all. My point is I can't believe that this generation Mustang was not taken advantage of, and the whole big thing of Lincoln's revival wasn't presented by a new RWD-bias sedan gorgeously styled with a small TTV8 to go with the ecoboost theme, or simply have a 2.0T, 3.5, and 5.0..... would've sold...... IMOOOOOOOO
  15. I think they should be ashamed of themselves just for the MKZ.... It's disastrous design could stop someone's heart!
  16. Look man, I don't understand your point at all. I was brought up to respect everyone and be kind equally until they lose it, and then that's their problem. So, I'm not coming on here and gonna tell everyone to F themselves or this and that. I respect everyone's opinions, as everyone should respect mind. I'm fine with an open debate, it's a forum, but most replies to me seem to carry immense sarcasm and snark, as if I'm a fool.
  17. I know a V16 Town Car is illogical lmao. It wouldn't make sense, but a V8 certainly does.....
  18. No I'm not trolling.... gee wiz.... the last bit about the RWD V8 powered sport car, cheap Lincoln sharing architecture with a cheap Ford i.e. Focus or something small to electricify, and especially the V16 Town Car was the part I was just breaking balls about, everything else was legit. Again sorry if I hurt any feelings
  19. . Wow see how different people have different opinions? It's amazing! When I see any new Lincoln, I get chest pains!
  20. Lmao that whole post was to just see what you'd say haha
