  1. Puma is not a jimny competitor. It’s essentially a hatchback and the jimny is a cheap basic 4x4. Not to mention the price difference. If ford made something similar to the jimny, but gave it bronco-ish design and kept it around the mid 20’s in price, it would be a decent seller in my opinion. Not for families, but the off road crowd looking for a smaller vehicle for tight trails and singles who need a cheap vehicle or a 4x4. At those prices it could even get some utv cross shopping.
  2. Here’s my theory. People like the off-road look, not necessarily the ability to go off road. I think all of these vehicles that aren’t boxy SUVs or trucks will be flops. Here is what I would like to see: 1. Bronco sport offered with extended length and 2wd 2. Fixed roof bronco - this could be a 4Runner and ineos grenadier competitor all in one and would look better than the Everest 3. Suzuki jimny competitor - nothing like this exists in the USA now, much smaller than the bronco sport and much cheaper too. Maybe this could start a new market like the maverick did. 4. Super duty ranger
  3. Yep. And the new rivian r2 is going to give the mach e a run for its money. IMO it’s a much more interesting EV with similar price and performance, but better looks and abilities. I think it has almost 4” more ground clearance than the Mach e.
  4. I actually had MFT in my fusion and loved it. Maybe they got it all worked out by then.
  5. Looks like ford has now confirmed these prices.
  6. https://www.motor1.com/news/789394/ford-mustang-dark-horse-sc-price/ From 103k to 170k
  7. There is a reason sedan based utes went away in Australia. Maverick would do well there and would be cheaper
  8. This design should have never been greenlit. It’s one of the ugliest designs I’ve ever seen. Just looks like a droopy mess.
  9. I didnt realize how small the puma was. It’s 164” long, which makes it much smaller than a Honda hrv, Mazda cx30, and Nissan kicks. It’s about the length of a Kia soul. All of these vehicles start around 20-25k. $35k for the puma would not work at all here. I know a lot of you like its styling, but I’m not sure it would do well here based on that alone.
  10. Well they win the name game 🤣. Sign me up for a rad vehicle!
  11. Reminds me of the Bolts front end. I don’t think this is bad, and it’s an improvement on the previous van.
  12. Saw these on Facebook. I actually think these look pretty good.
  13. That’s crazy, at least my dealer does my oil change for free, and tire rotation is $40. That’s the only reason I put up with the long times.
  14. This is hilarious, maybe ford should have waited a bit to give out those initial quality bonuses to everyone. And before you say these were old vehicles that were before Ford’s new quality push, look at all the 2026MY vehicles in the list.
  15. these were ones I did a long time ago. Funny thing is, you can see these in the background in one of Biondis first videos about creating his Lincoln bronco
  16. This Everest I could definitely see people paying msrp for. A few styling tweaks would make it even better. This Everest no one cares about. I think ford needs to let the Everest focus on fun and off road, similar to Bronco. No lariat, platinum or titanium trims, no chrome. Those will all be handled by Lincoln. Below is how I would envision the trims. Maybe this would fail miserably, but I like it. These prices fall in line with the 4Runner and Lexus GX which I think would be its main competition. Everest Sport - like an F150 STX $42k Everest Tremor - mid range Off-roader $48k Lincoln version Premiere - entry luxury trim $60k Lincoln version Reserve - Mid level luxury $67k Everest Raptor - Top of the line Off-Roader $72k Lincoln version black label - Top of the line luxury $77k
  17. Honestly, I’m a bit hesitant to even upgrade my speakers. So far my roof is good, but I don’t need any extra vibration causing cracks 🤣
  18. Honestly I have no issues with the stock audio with the sub. It’s not the best at low volume, but turn it up and it sounds a lot better, but I’ve always had the regular audio in cars so maybe it’s just me. im glad the bronco won’t change much. It’s easier for me to upgrade my bronco if they come out with some parts I like better. There are many parts that ford can change to keep the bronco fresh without having to redesign the whole thing. Grille, wheels, fenders and bumpers all make a huge impact on the look.
  19. I think those two are the best as well. Lincoln had the sentinel concept back in 1996. Maybe the own the name still? yep I forgot about the VW atlas. Scratch that off the list. Back in 2013 it was a concept for the f150.
  20. When naming this type of vehicle, you probably want something that portrays luxury and toughness. That’s a hard mix to do. Here are a few, many of which are former ford/lincoln/mercury models or concept vehicle names from the past. Legionnaire Leviathan sentinel vanguard mariner mountaineer atlas marauder Evos interceptor Messenger
  21. I’m not opposed to a luxury off-roader using the Continental name. Sounds fitting for a vehicle that can go anywhere on any continent.
  22. Someone posted an article earlier which said it might be called Maverick EV. I already said my thoughts about two different vehicles sharing a name in the other thread so I won’t bring that up again 😆
  23. I don’t think truck buyers will appreciate this design, not because it looks weird, but because it’s not user friendly. This design makes you climb up in the bed to get anything out vs simply leaning over the side to grab something. Now, my assumption is that this truck isn’t for “traditional” truck buyers anyways so they may be more open to it.
