  1. Canada is ahead of the U.S. on the gas price curve, much the same way that Europe is ahead of Canada. Small fuel efficient cars are already the norm whereas the reality of modern fuel efficiency is just starting to reach the American consciousness. Even though Ranger sales have been falling in the U.S. it wouldn't surprise me if there was a sales renaissance because of the new fuel price reality. Check out how the Ranger does against it's competitors in Canada: April Sales Ranger 2762 Mazda B series 384 Tacoma 947 Frontier 182 Colorado 494 Canyon 431 Dakota 895
  2. I remember when the Edge was introduced, some articles commented on the Edge's poor braking distances. Does anyone know if Ford has changed anything since then to improve braking?
  3. Anybody know exactly which Honda models are made in the U.S.?
  4. Wait a minute. What kind of financial genius is willing to take $13,000 for a car that they could retail for $18,500? Obviously the car was worth $18,500. Why wouldn't you have just bought the new car at A-Plan, and pocketed an extra $5,500 by selling it yourself? Should've been a no brainer if that's what KBB says you could've done.
  5. "The "law of diminishing returns" is precisely the point. Think this through. The law tells you TWO things: AFTER a certain point, more choices will not increase return on investment. And BEFORE that point, more choices DO increase results. I know that you missed the meaning, but this is exactly what I was referring to in the original post about incremental gain exceeding incremental cost." So Ford believes they have reached that certain point and you believe they haven't? Notwithstanding the standard "Ford doesn't know what they're doing" comments, you believe you are in a better position to determine whether or not the point of diminishing returns has yet to be reached how exactly?
  6. The level of ignorance in this thread of basic concepts of commerce is just astounding. Just bail out Deanh. You don't need the brain damage here.
  7. "Once again you do not determine my trade value I do! I don't get what I want, then I don't trade." One of the dumbest comments I've read in quite some time. Even a 10 year old selling baseball cards knows something is only worth what someone else will pay for it. And you refinanced your own car to avoid taking a loss on it? Brilliant financial move.
  8. "Having said that, you don't think a person will walk away from a 7 year loan if he finds out the truck he bought is now worth less money than the loan amount he still has to pay off?" That is true at virtually any point in any 0 Down finance contract.
  9. Ahh, who cares. I heard Ford also dropped the Shriners mini pedal cars.
  10. P71, what's wrong with you?
  11. Why is TTAC reviewing an '07 model that has been supplanted by a new '08 model?
  12. King Ranch leather is definitely higher quality than regular Ford leather. However, it is prone to fading, drying, and staining if it isn't maintained properly. And maintaining it means regular use of leather conditioner to keep it supple and sealed. I agree that 5 year old KR leather that has never been maintained can look pretty bad.
