  1. So I just found out today that my 2016 Ford edge with about 76k miles needs a full transmission replacement which sounds like it'll cost around $7k. I'm considering buying a bronco sport instead of spending the $ on the transmission. So far every dealer I've checked is over msrp. Anyone have any strategies or ideas on how to not get completely ripped off? (Keeping in mind I can only go without a vehicle for a limited amount of time). I used to be a Mustang club member but the membership lapsed and it looks like you need to be a member for 90 days now for a x pin.
  2. Niccee. Anyone have any ideas on when more details will be released? Article mentioned it'll be different than traditional equations.
  3. Look what I found on my local dealer's website. Hybrid mpg ;) 43 city 37 highway ford.pdf
  4. I would be all over an ST model. I'm probably going to go corsair or escape depending on test drive and deals. Explorer is nice but don't think I can justify the extra size/price. Wife and my father in law already have edges (thanks to me lol)
  5. I was looking at the Mazda cx5 too, but I don't like that you don't have a touch screen when driving - you have to use a knob :/
  6. Does anyone know when crash test ratings might come out for the escape? Or the MPG for the hybrid? Thanks!
  7. Update looks like corsair reviews drop October 1st
  8. I read on an Instagram post that the embargo on reviews for the corsair lifts next week.
  9. What are the main differences between the two? Are they major in terms of performance/handling etc?
  10. Thanks for the heads up. I'm going to check out both
  11. Thanks! Any idea when corsair will be out? Do you mean much nicer in terms of materials? Most options seemed similar with the exception of adaptive suspension and different seats etc
  12. I was looking at the corsair. Do they only come with tan or blue interiors? Or am I crazy lol
  13. Yeah I'd just say it's a missed opportunity. I'm not sure why they went with the method they did. Maybe cost savings? Would be much more impressive projected onto windshield. My buddy used to have an old grand prix that had that. It was pretty cool
  14. Didn't realize there was a difference in warranty. Is it a big difference in time? Any predictions on escape street price? Haha
  15. I looked at it a little, but I think it got expensive pretty fast once you added a couple packages. I saw it at the NY Auto show and it was nice. I'll take a another look though. I'm trying to stay under $40k. I wouldn't normally look at Mazda but they're basically giving you every option they have for the same price as the escape ($37k) so a lot of this will depend on what kind of deal I can get on the escape (which since it's new might be tough).
  16. I'm in the market for a compact SUV. I'm in between the Mazda CX5 signature trim and the Escape titanium (2.0 or hybrid). Mazda has ventilated seats and a HUD that projects onto the window and its faster/supposedly handles better (based on reviews and 0-60 at least). Reviews say Mazda has nicer interior materials since they're apparently trying to push into the luxury segment. Escape has a touchscreen (which I prefer over Mazdas knob) and the option of a hybrid. I actually prefer the escape's styling compared to the cx5. I don't like the pop up screen HUD (would prefer windshield HUD) and I wish it had ventilated seats and a wireless charger (apparently a wireless charger and additional usbs are coming later, but idk how much later - probably too late for when I plan to purchase). Overall none of these options are a deal breaker for me (they fall under the category of nice to have but not need to have). The difference in 0-60 is pretty small so I'm not concerned about that. In terms if handling I'll have to wait until I can test drive. I'm curious to see the interior materials since quite a few reviews called Ford out on that. Anyway just my .02 since I'm in the market
  17. The 2020 Escape first drive reviews for the 1.5 and 2.0 were released today. I think the hybrid review will be released Thursday. I noticed a couple articles mentioned a wireless charging pad will be added after launch. Has anyone heard this? Motor trend had 0-60 on 2.0 pegged at 6.9 seconds - not too bad. I currently have a mustang GT. Just got married last November and its on it's way out. I used to have a focus hatch that I loved. Since our next step is a family and I live in the north - I need something semi affordable with AWD. If the baby bronco were coming out sooner there's a decent chance I would go with that, but considering time constraints (the dreaded aluminum hood corosion problem that causes bubbling paint just started) I am probably going to go with the escape. At first I wasn't a huge fan, but it has been growing on me and I'm interested to see how it handles since it's so similar to a focus hatchback.
  18. Np, other post wasn't created when I posted my reply
