  1. The culprit was a bad sensor o the left half shaft for the front drive. Pleasantly surprised with the diagnosis and repair that so far (knock on wood) has fixed the problem.
  2. Either a software or sensor issue. Car in today for resolution.
  3. I would suspect that the engineers carefully considered the required cooling capacity vs the cost of two fans. If two were not required, trust me, Ford wouldn't have put them there.
  4. No, but admit after Air Force flying my hearing isn't the greatest.
  5. Not at all like ours, although we do not have the tow package, but i see nothing in the tow package specs that would make a difference in the ride.
  6. While our MKX was under a "No Drive" order waiting airbag replacement parts, Ford paid for a rental SUV of similar size. Made us sure to never buy a Range Rover.
  7. Did not get the e-mail, yet eligible for update. Downloaded both it and the license. It is a large file and took about 45 minutes to get. have not installed yet. Instructions say it can take up to an hour and vehicle must be running. Not taking many hour long drives lately, but may give it a go this weekend.
  8. To date we have been most pleased with our Aviator, a December build, delivered in February. No defects in panel alignment, paint or any function. The only thing to temper our evaluation has been the limited use due to the Covid-19 self enforced isolation. Agree the Genesis appears to be a competitor. One reason we would not change is our experience with service at our Lincoln dealer. We had a 2008 MKX that they serviced throughout its 100,000 mile plus life with us. We never had take it back for any repair. The only non-wear item replaced was an alternator that failed just short of 100,000 miles. Always had a loaner for us too. Yet another variable to consider.
  9. Our Aviator delivered in February has been trouble and defect free. Admittedly we aren't exact;y racking up the miles, but after 1,100 miles all the drive train, electronics, HVAC are fine. Panel fit and finish are excellent. Phone as a key works as advertised.
  10. Called concierge for question. He claimed only capable of answering Lincoln Way App questions, but did offer to try and help. I wanted to know how to display Trip 2 info. Figured it out while he had me on hold. It's in the Information Systems Sub menu you ge tto that by going to settings on the right toggle switch, then to Information then click OK to see which of the four options out of 8 or more you want to add. to the display.
  11. Hey, I know it's a new model, but really and I cut and paste-- The USB ports may be in the following locations: • Inside the media bin. • Inside the center console. • On the lower instrument panel. Note: The number and type of USB ports may vary depending on your vehicle. Note:Not all USB ports in your vehicle have data transfer capabilities. The "Changing A Road Wheel" section says nothing about how or the tool to remove the decorative hub cover. FYI-There's a tool mounted on the wing nut that secures the spare. No doubt there are other shortfalls, Be interesting to collect them here.
  12. Ours delivered 6 Feb 2020. Fit and finish all within tolerances on first inspection. It was raining, but still nothing looks amiss today. I'll update after I detail the car. We're very pleased with the purchase after 30 hours. No buyers remorse. Kids most impressed with massage seats and screen graphics. Used self park today for straight in parking. It's slow, but it works. Spouse noticed the way the dynamic handling packaged "smoothed" the road that was annoyingly uncomfortable in our MKX. Shout out to Ourisman Lincoln. Best car buying experience ever.
