Too Many issues with this car for me. Had similar issues with my 2023 Lexus NX450H+. I don't want to be Lincoln's beta tester. I CANCELED my order and went a completely different way. Couldn't handle the chances of having an engine replaced due to fuel injectors breaking and falling into the cylinder trashing the engine. Plus the fact they halted all production I was informed.

I placed my order for a FHEV White Platinum Black Label Nautilus on 12/26. I received a confirmation email from Lincoln within 5 minutes. Now, the wait begins. Hope and pray it isn't as long as the first year Maverick that ended up getting canceled by Ford.

@nep84 With my Ford Maverick order, I received an email from Ford confirming my order within 10 minutes of the DORA being input into the system. With my Ford Escape, I have NEVER heard from Ford. My Dealer swears the system won't allow them or accept email addresses. I've called Ford Customer Service and they have my order. I have never heard from Ford though.

@nep84 I ordered an ST-Elite Hybrid back on 28 December 2022. I had a 3/13/2023 Build which has changed a few times. The latest posted on Friday is 3/27/2023. So it is doable if all goes well from here on out.

@Aguy That is an excellent question. I started trying to by a Ford Maverick Hybrid on 12 July 2021. They never built it and never offered me anything else. So I gave up in early 2022. In March of 2022 I discovered the Lexus NX350h and have been trying to get my hands on one ever since. I wasn't into the PHEV phase yet and was only wanting Hybrid. I discovered Lexus quit taking special orders back in 2021 I believe due to COVID and they haven't resumed that yet today. But I discovered each dealer would take my build and submit it. Whether it was selected to build was a different story. So I have been trying to get a Lexus NX350h Luxury since March 2022 and NO LUCK. I then went to Toyota and tried to order a Rav4 Hybrid. Discovered you couldn't order a Toyota either but they would try to get one built for me. After six moths I told them to forget about it. Then went to Ford and ordered a 2023 Escape Hybrid. Again not a PHEV. I have been playing around waiting and waiting. Got scheduled then dropped, scheduled and dropped. Then my phone rang. It was Lexus. They have a special car coming in around 12 April and it's mine if I want it. I asked what it was and it is the 2023 Lexus NX 450h+ Luxury. The ONLY thing it doesn't have is the panoramic sunroof. And YES, it is a PHEV. I did some really fast research and discovered it was what I wanted that I didn't know I wanted. So I have now canceled the Escape Order and will pick up a Lexus NX 450h+ PHEV soon. The problem is there aren't any vehicles on the lots. Next to all of the car makers aren't taking orders. You have to find a dealer who is hungry and wants the business and finds you something. But you better be ready to wait. I had 5 Lexus dealers working to find me a vehicle. The one I originally started at offered me a vehicle that was inbound but then low balled me on my trade-in. So I walked away and told him I'd never grace his doors again. So if you're looking around, get multiple dealers involved. I used to sit at the laptop and search all of the dealerships in my states and surrounding states looking for a vehicle. I started this journey in July 2021 and although it's not over yet, I can see light. The vehicle is on the ship headed this way from Japan. I was only settling on the Ford. I had thought about using it to trade when and if the Lexus ever showed up. But now I don't have to. A little long and I apologize but there are others out here feeling just like you're feeling. ONLY you can decide if you can afford to wait, look around and settle for something different or walk away. I wish you the best.

Well I'm for one who has lost faith in FoMoCo. How's that saying go? "You had one job to do!!!" In Fords case it's make cars and trucks. And they just can't seem to do it. I'm still waiting for my 2022 Maverick and an Escape. I've come to the decision to move along. Evidently there is nothing to see here with FoMoCo. God only knows when they will be the car manufacturer they used to be. It been real and it's been fun, but not real fun. I'm bowing out. So it's delayed for no reason and the dealer can't find out why? These guys have got a great job working and never having to explain anything. Good luck getting it. Hopefully they start to release them now that they are supposedly producing/working again.

Hmmmm, my original date was 3/13. It moved to 2/27 and then on 2/23 it jumped to 3/21 (3 weeks, 1 day) just like others. Thankfully it's been holding the 3/21 date since.

@Stevedbvik1 Gee, thanks for the reminder. I didn’t want to think about the backlog but you are 100% correct.

@ssttalker Too many questions I'm sure you've thought of. My first thought is have you called Ford Customer Service to see what they can offer? Then of course the dealer. I would be burning the lines up and if no results, I'd drive to the dealership and make them look me in the eye and tell me what the scoop is. My ONLY guess is the software glitch they just recently worked out. Now that that has been figured out, I'm sure they will flash the system to update it and it will be on its way. But someone should be able to tell you that besides me. Good Luck and keep us in the loop. I'm really curious now.

as the dates change in the tracker, do you also get an email? My tracker has never shown a date, even though the email did, and tracker also shows my VIN  @escape20 I don't get the emails from Ford. My Dealer swears their email system is broke. Having said that, I have called Customer Service and they "confirmed" my order by name. My Dealer has provided me with the original Scheduled Date as well as the VIN. So I only use the Tracker to get my information as the Dealer doesn't provide any information.

I can only assume they need the money for the New Battery Plant they are looking to build. Having said that, are we locked in on the prices we originally had when placing our orders? Does anyone know?

@Rangers09 My Build was Scheduled for 3/22, As of 2/23. It has remained that way since. I checked a few minutes ago and it is now Scheduled for 3/21 but the As of date is still 2/23. Hopefully they are just tweaking the schedule now anticipating the restart.

Won't that depend on whether you have a Signed Agreement with your dealer? If not and just a DORA then it is typically MSRP. If there has been an increase of $2K then MSRP is up $2K. No agreement, no $2K cheaper. That's the way I understand it.

@Aguy I know what you mean. I can't even get the dealer to give me a quote on my car to know if I want to use it as a trade in or shop around to get the best cash amount for it. It's a 2 year old Lexus Hybrid fully loaded and Lexus offered me below KBB Trade-In value. They sad the amounts were going down. But now they are headed back up. So I'm wondering if Lexus won't give me a good number, will a Ford Dealer? So I wait to find out. I just may use Carvanna to sell it if they'll give me a good number.

Not really interested in having running boards on my 2023 Escape Hybrid. I'm responding to this thread to see if either of you know the height of the Escape off the ground. I cannot find that measurement anywhere. I know most SUV's are 8" or more off the ground. Does anyone know?

@EcapeHybridGuy Not really sure as I've NEVER been successful in ordering and having Ford build my vehicle. I ordered a 22 Maverick Hybrid and it was NEVER built. Every now and then Ford will send me an email saying they are still trying to get it scheduled. But I know they aren't. My only "guess" is Built. That is the next tick on the Tracker. But you say it is Built. So after that is Shipped. So I can only guess it is built but because of the software hold they haven't classified it Built yet until they flash the software after 3/6 when they open up again. But it is all a guess at this point.

@chaddy0122 As I posted earlier, last night and early this morning my Build was Re-Scheduled to 3/22. Just checked again and it's still 3/22. Having said that they have been changing it late afternoon most of the time. So I'll watch it today to see if in fact it does change.

@chaddy0122 I received the Ford Authority email this morning and that article wasn't included in my email. So what happened to the 2/27 resume date? If in fact they resume building on 3/6, I sure hope they don't slip it anymore. Thanks for the update.

UPDATE 23 February 2023 Just went and checked the Tracker and my Hybrid has been Scheduled for 3/22/2023. Lets hope they can keep this date.
