  1. Great suggestion. I’ve also heard that their product works very well and saw it on an Cobra replica that had an incredible shine. In my case the truck sat in a rail yard for well over a month and already had some scratches and a fair amount of swirl marks in the paint, so it needed buffing before any form of coating. Getting another car soon and think I’ll try the Turtle wax route and hopefully save a bunch of money.
  2. Paint correction and full ceramic coating of truck and wheels $1200. Never had it on any of my previous trucks but do have it on my 911. It makes a huge difference in how long it takes to clean / dry the car. I figured this thing is so big anything that makes it easier to keep clean would be worthwhile. They claim it’s guaranteed for 4 years. I’ve only had it on my car for a year so I can’t say for certain how long it will actually last.
  3. Thanks! It’s at the detail shop getting ceramic coated. They just called and said it looks really good. Next stop window tinting.
  4. Ordered 8/24, in my driveway on 2/01. 200 miles in and really enjoying it so far.
  5. Oh - and no I don’t have an actual screen shot from their VVR system.
  6. Yes shipped by rail via CSX. I called the dealer today and told them I wanted to know where it was. They said they have the rail car number and it states the truck is still in Kentucky. Then I told them I wanted the rail car number so I could check on it myself. They gave it to me (assuming it’s correct) and I called the CSX automated line - it told me that rail car arrived in Clinton SC 25 days ago. Informed the dealer and they said they will have to have a Ford rep do some more research.
  7. I had Autobahn Air Ceramic clear put on my windshield several years back and while it does noticeably block some heat, I think 98% would be way optimistic. Their website states 44% solar energy reflected and 68% infrared rejection for whatever that’s worth. Just be aware that the first few days after it’s applied the optical clarity is very poor. I was about to take it back and have it removed but after it fully cured it cleared up nicely. I’m unsure of the numbers but have always had the side windows done to match the factory rears. Looks good from the outside but a b*tch to see out of at night.
  8. @Atlas…. You’re not alone. I got the same email on 1/10, 3 days after is was supposed to be delivered. No more notifications from Ford since then but near the end of each week the tracker pushes the date out another week. It just pushed out again this morning.
  9. Estimated delivery date pushed back again for the fifth time. Interesting though that the dealers website lists 3 f250’s (not mine) as in transit, all of which have window sticker production dates a week after mine. What the heck is going on?
  10. Dealer representative just called and said they checked and the truck is still sitting at the rail yard in Kentucky. His assumption is that CSX doesn’t have a full car so it won’t ship until they do ?. Tomorrow is one month since getting the your vehicle has been shipped email.
  11. Unsure if it’s the case here, but on my other non-Ford vehicles this generally happens if you’ve exceeded one of the preset speed limits that have been programmed.
  12. I did not get any additional emails from Ford but checked the tracking link this morning and see that the estimated delivery date has been pushed again. Was 1/14, then 1/20, now 1/28. Wondering how many times I should expect this? It seems the closer you get the more agonizing the wait!
  13. I tried that. It’s an exercise in futility. All I get is the same info ford sends me in the email.
  14. Hmmm…., possibly. Mine was supposedly shipped on 12/22 to arrive between 1/01 and 1/07. On 1/10 I got the following email. Where does one find the actual rail car info? Is it listed on the window sticker?
  15. For those in the know, will the dealers VVR system have any specific information on why the shipping has been delayed when they already informed me it was shipped on 12/22? I asked the sales rep and he said: “It’s being shipped from Kentucky. No problems, just a delay. Your new estimated date is 1/20. I have no explanation for the delay”
  16. Interesting - just received an email that says: “To ensure your complete satisfaction, we will require additional time before your 2022 Super Duty F250 Lariat is delivered to Beach Ford”. The original estimated delivery date was 01/07, now 01/14 - 01/20. Trying to figure out how another delay ensures my complete satisfaction ???.
  17. Thanks - I just checked it and the estimated date is still 1/07. It’s going to South Carolina. Fingers crossed it will get here soon.
  18. Received the your truck has been built e-mail on 12/21. Shipped email came the following day with estimated delivery between 1/1 and 1/7. It never showed up ?
  19. Too late for me to change. I got the email early this morning that it was built on 12/20 and awaiting shipment. Target delivery between 1/1 and 1/7.
  20. It was a fairly overcast day with not much sunlight so it was hard to find an angle that emphasized the blue in it. I had an all black truck for a long time and swore I’d never do it again. Antimatter is a little dark for my taste but at this point I guess I better learn to like it.
  21. After a full week (since 12/13) of the tracking app saying ‘in production’, I decided to ping the dealership and ask for an update, I also mentioned that mostly I’d just like to see the anti-matter blue F250 that recently arrived since I hadn’t ever seen one in the wild. My sales person says: sure, no problem come on by. He also tells me he’s checked the tracking link and it says ‘in production’. Once there I asked for an update from his ‘internal system’ . He tells me it doesn’t provide any detailed info until it’s on a rail car. At that point I tell him I’ve actually seen examples from their Vehicle Visibility Report that show the vehicle’s more detailed disposition, After a long silent pause I’m told: well, yes but the person who can look that up isn’t working today. While still standing there someone else apparently calls complaining that the tracking app says their VIN is invalid. Then I watch two sales employees argue over who’s responsibility it is to look it up on VVR because it’s not ‘their’ customer. Seems like asking someone to use that system is like pulling teeth. So I just left completely disappointed that I had even bothered to swing by. On a side note - anti matter blue is waaaaay waaaaay darker in person than it is on the configuration tool ☹️. Wish I had done more research and found this forum earlier, especially the anti matter blue thread.
  22. I checked the tracking app today and it actually worked! Status has changed to ‘In Production’ and it did generate the window sticker. Happy to see any sign of progress!
  23. I hope so too but I guess given everything going on, a 5 -6 month wait isn’t that bad. Try ordering a new Corvette from a small dealer and you might be too old to get in and out of it before it shows up. Took me 23 months after initial deposit to even get an allocation. Still don’t have a build date and now with the tornado that hit Bowling Green, who knows. Hard to get upset over it though the given the loss of life, homes, and destruction they are dealing with. Car just isn’t that important.
