  1. Since it's built it is likely a chip issue. Your dealer can bring up the Vehicle Visibilty Report and tell you for sure.
  2. You have a VIN and a scheduled build date so I’d say it’s very likely that your truck will get built this year. And it’s very, very likely it will be built before thousands of other orders that are older than yours. Hope you don’t get bumped again. Hang in there.
  3. Hey Chris. Welcome to the forum and sorry about the issues with your truck. Try posting this in the Superduty section and you may get more feedback. Not everyone reads the welcome section. Good luck!
  4. There is not much normal in the truck buying world right now. A November order is not that unusual, actually there are some waiting on orders that are getting out close to a year. It might be a good idea to reach out to your dealer and ask for a update. The dealer has 24/7 access to your order status via thier Vehicle Visiblity Report. There very well could be commodity constraints that are holding up your order. You can discuss these with your dealer as to what they may be and if you should consider dropping them from the order to improve your scheduling odds. Lots of people have dropped things that can be done after delivery like bed liners and 5th wheel prep with some success. Good luck and hang in there.
  5. Your dealer can confirm. A COVP order requires a deposit, signed order copy and a copy of your drivers license. The order would also have a priority code between 10 and 19, indicating it’s a retail order.
  6. About a month ago I had to have the windshield in my 2015 F150 Lariat replaced. It has the technology package so it has the camera and rain sensor attached to the windshield. I was told by State Farm I'd have to take it to Safelite because they were the only one in our area that could recalibrate the camera. When they were attempting to reinstall the camera the bracket attached to the windshield came off. They epoxied the bracket back on and installed and calibrated the camera. The manager informed me that they were not happy with how it went back together and they were going to order another new windshield. Two weeks later I meet the mobile tech in a Walmart parking lot (40 miles closer to home) for install number 2. I was looking over the tech's shoulder as he reinstalled the camera. He barely started to twist the camera into the bracket when I heard a "pop" and the bracket partially separted from the glass. The tech did not have epoxy on his truck so he couldn't glue it back on. He called the shop and the guy on the other end said the issue is that State Farm will not pay for an OEM quality replacement. The replacement windshield they were using has a plastic bracket were as the OEM windshield uses a metal bracket. The adhesive was sticking to the glass but not to the plastic bracket. I left the parking lot with my rear view mirror secured with green tape and instructions not to use my cruise control since he couldn't calibrate the camera. Safelite wasn't sure what they were going to do but they would "get back to me". Since I was in town I dropped in on my State Farm agent and told them my story. She said she would call Safelite and see what could be done. This morning I get a call from Safelite that they "got State Farm to approve an OEM replacement" and scheduled a new appointment. Maybe I'm just extremely unlucky to get two bad windshields in a row but it's something to be aware of if/when you need a windshield replacement. Make sure you are clear what your insurance company is paying for and start lobbying them for a OEM replacement from the beginning. BTW, I'm not unhappy with Safelite or my insurance agent. Safelite's service has been great and I have no problem recommending them. Install #3 is scheduled for next Friday. Wish me luck!
  7. I was afraid of that. Really disappointed as my dealer has been pretty good up to this point. Anyhow, I sent off a quick email to my salesman that I thought there was some confusion with my priority code. I included a copy of the email he sent me a couple months ago that stated that all thier orders are priority 10 and cc'd the Sales Manager. In about an hour I recieved a fresh copy of the order summary showing priority 10. Thanks for checking, really appreciate your help.
  8. This question has come up a few times recently. See below, there is no mention of the 2.5" hitch coming with a reducer...
  9. Thanks for last month's update. Could you please check current status? Also, if possible confirm my priority code is 10? I asked my salesman awhile back to set it at 10 and his response was "don't have to, we set all our truck orders at 10". Dealer #: F72404 Order # : 4180 22 F350 7.3L Lariat CCSB Carbonized Grey Thanks again for your help!
  10. Maybe I’m just stupid but why would you get a dually but not the diesel? Seems kind of goofy to me. Maybe local landscaping outfits with a gooseneck and heavy equipment or something? What use case does that fill that a SRW gasser wouldn’t? Maybe an application where payload is a higher priorty than towing capacity? Slide in camper?
  11. Wow, good for you! You must be in the running for the newest, quickest order turn around on record. Hopefully you won't have to endure a bunch of schedule bumps!
  12. That is the projected day your truck will be built. It may change based on any number of factors, part availablity, plant constraints, etc. When a truck is first scheduled it is scheduled to a particular week, as it gets closer it's scheduled to a day. Hope that answers your question. Exciting that your truck is almost built!
  13. Take a nice leisurley trip home on the back roads. Vary engine speed, avoid heavy acceleration and braking for the first few hundred miles. Ford recommends no heavy towing for 1000 miles. That said, alot of trucks are worked hard right off the lot and never have issues. Break in is not as critical as it was years ago. Engine, trans, differential build tolerances are tighter and materials are better.
  14. There was a thread a month or so ago debating reducer or no reducer. I grabbed this info from that thread:
  15. Welcome to the forum. No one can really estimate when a build will happen, at least within a few months. Too many commodity and supply chain issues. Your dealer can consult the Vehicle Visibility Report which will tell them where you are in the build process. You are at priority 2, that's a good thing but it still requires that Ford has all the parts specific to your build for it to be scheduled. If your dealer is not helpful you can go to the Vehicle Locator by Ford Employees sub-forum and utilize the tracking services of cyberdman. Read the rules on the page header and the sticky post with additional rules. DO NOT PM him.... Repeat DO NOT PM cyberdman.... Read and follow the rules!!! Good luck and hang in there!
  16. Remember though that a lot of those are stock or fleet orders. Retail orders have priority.
  17. I have the same situation, just a few months ahead. I received a PCO a few days after I placed my order back in January. The 'good by date' is April 4th. I contacted my salesman to make sure it could be applied and he replied "oh sure, we'll take care of it at time of delivery". Now I haven't take delivery yet, so we'll see but my dealer has been pretty good with details and follow up so I have no reason to doubt him.
  18. Yes, once it gets to it's final rail yard it would go via truck transport to the dealer. The rail car may have to go through several hubs or junction points before it reaches it's final destination.
  19. I don't have any info specific to the junction point, but the rail system is pretty clogged up and getting worse. I've read a couple articles this week that both Union Pacific and BNSF are asking thier customers to 'reduce the number of rail cars in inventory' or on April 18th they will start 'metering' the amount of traffic. I take that industry speak to mean if customers don't reduce the amount of cars they are using, then the rail carriers will do it for them.
  20. This should get you there: https://blueovalforums.com/forums/index.php?/topic/41207-current-tracking-rules/
  21. It's a manual process to manage priority codes. Retail codes are 10 to 19 with 19 being the default when the order in entered into the system. The dealer can change the code at any time as part of managing thier order bank. The dealer has to ask their Ford rep to set priority code 1 or 2.
  22. Unless you live relatively close to the plant your truck will go by rail to a hub then via over the road truck to your dealer.
  23. It means your truck is sitting at a hub waiting for road transport. There have been a lot of delays with road transport due to not having enough drivers and increased volume.
  24. Priority codes are used to determine the preferred order in which a dealer wants orders built. Retail order priority codes are 10-19 with the lower number being a higher priority. 19 is the default code when a retail order is entered, the dealer can change the code as they manage their order bank. Of course priority codes are only a build order preference, it depends on parts availability and other issues. Other codes are: 80 for Stock orders 99 for Do Not Build 2 can be assigned by Ford regional and is usually used for orders that are older 1 can be assigned by Corporate and is used in extrodinary circumstances. Such as a replacement order for a vehicle destroyed in transport.
  25. A lot us got a similar letter last month. Most likely ford responding to all the complaints about lack of communication.
