When I logged in up pops Toyota on Blue Ovals home page. advertising is farmed out to 3rd party agencies who fill the space. Toyotas agency bought auto enthusast sites. Makes lots of sense. You're also just as likely to see Chev ads on a Ford site too. But I guess you think that the site owners should decline ad revenue? I suppose thats an option if YOU are prepared to pay to use the site. Otherwise, you're probably best to let the site owners do what they need to do financially to maintain the site for YOU to use for free. Mark B. Morrow
I checked out the Toyota Tundra site and all the ads were for F-series and Super Duty Fords.
g48150
Richard's no fool, he knows who's #1 and will pay through the nose to get to slam the competition! Did you know that it is really ANTI-American to say Buy American?
RichardJensen
Good Lord, it's like playing telephone here. I don't run this site, and I never worked for Ford. It's amazing how stuff gets currency here. The Tundra ads, if you'll notice, are on pages that mention the Tundra. Google AdWords (when their server is running well) feeds ads based on site content. When their server is running slowly (or when there's a lot of text on the page) you have to wait for the ad payload to be delivered before you can view the page. Real annoying. Get what you pay for I guess.
jasonj80
Cost Toyota some cash, and make some money for this site -- Click on the link The site gets a cut of the moeny that google gets for the paid per click. So google gets money, the site owner gets money -- and it costs toyota some money.
