Imawhosure
Brothers and Sisters, A little note to laud you on your recent achievement that I see little of anybody talking about. It appears the most repected and leading consumer magazine (whos name I won't mention because it refuses advertisement, along with not liking its named used for promoting any brand) has proclaimed in its December issue by the numbers it has received from its reader base, that YOU, THE FORD MOTOR COMPANY have 93% of all models average or above in predicted reliability. This in stark contrast to Chrysler, which has only 67%, and GM bringing up the rear at 49%. Now you may shrug this off, but understand this--------------->this particular magazine was part in parcel to the rise of Toyoty. When Toyoty went from building junk way back when, to building bland BUT GOOD QUALITY VEHICLES, this magazine heralded this transformation inducing the sales to start rolling. The point is------------->No longer can Ford Motor complain suggest that YOU are building faulty vehicles because of being in a union. You have proven that you can build BETTER VEHICLES than the rest of the domestics, and you are nipping on the heels of the transplants. Oh, and by the way, lolol. Two models that were moved to NOT recommended---------->v6 Camry, (that's correct, I said NOT recommended and CAMRY in the same sentence) and the TOYOTY TUNDRA v6 4WD. (that is right, that wonderful NEW TOYOTY TRUCK!!!!!) The only thing in the new NOT recommended list from Ford???? Two Mazdas, nothing with a Ford, Mercury, or Lincoln badge!!!!! Now while I usually root for all the domestics, many acquantances of mine happen to be GM fans. They are forever telling me (and GM fans are probably telling you too) that FORD stands for Fix Or Repair Daily. Well, now with these numbers reported by consumers to be tabulated............lol........the next time a GM fanatic dares to utter that saying, I shall produce the article showing what a wonderful job you are doing, and what a horseshit job GM is doing; then inform them that the symbols for GM now mean-------------> Get-a-Mechanic, hehehehehehehehehehehehehehehehehe!!!! Again, congrats, and if you are not up to speed on what magazine I am speaking of without actually writing their name, PM me, and I will tell you personally. P.S. There PREDICTED RELIABILITY STATS are cumulative over the LAST, 3, YEARS!!!!!!! That tells you what a stellar job you have been doing, and that is just not the last month or two. Now you know, and soon, anyone who reads these magazines will know. (and it has MILLIONS of subscribers) Just in case Ford forgets to pat ya on the back........or even tell you about this astounding transformation, it all came down to you, and from me to you I say, GREAT JOB!!!!!!!!!!!!!! What a nice post, Whosure! It's about time that the TRUTH has finally gotten out of the bag! No need to tell those us who are still at Ford, or retired, just what this means. Like you, I have always been partial to the domestic Big 3, never once, have I ever owned a brand new vehicle whose origins are elsewhere in the world. I do have to say that I have owned used cars and vans from all of the hometown companies, but still Ford has always been NUMBER ONE! Case in point: a 1994 Escort that still is going strong and low miles too. Sure a little preventative maintenance now and then, but that's to be expected. You'd be surprised at the foreign car owners who think that nothing will ever go wrong with theirs, guess they think a sludge problem isn't a big deal....Wait till they go down to the parts store and buy parts......we'll see what sticker shock is...hehehe. Again, you are right, our brother and sisters have hung in there and done the RIGHT thing--building Quality vehicles. I'm proud of them as well!!! :beerchug: :banvictory:

Imawhosure
Guys, this is a for real statement------------>I can NOT tell you more forcefully how important this particular magazine saying (without actually coming out and saying it directly) by their own numbers, given by actual consumers who have purchased our vehicles; that THEY are MORE pleased than Chrysler owners, GM owners, and a whole lot of Toyoty owners is!!!!!! The subscriber base of this magazine will respond when a new vehicle is in order. While some of the transplants vehicles are rated higher, not even the VAUNTED TOYOTY can claim 93% of their lineup is acceptable, or above acceptable in predicted reliabilty. What this means is that a consumer can walk into a friendly neighborhood Ford store, and virtually be insured they walk out with a vehicle that is BETTER than average, and the best of the domestics in quality. Not only that, but by proving the workforce CAN DELIVER.............and proving it has been happening for 3 years and still running, Ford no longer can blame any sales slippage on you. (that is unless the union is stupid!) You have proven your mettle, proven your worth, proven you can make the best of the best, so you have the RIGHT to tell anyone who suggests different.....to kiss.....your.....high....quality......ass!!!!! You are WORTH certainly more than GM and Chrysler workers, and an unbiased, highly respected consumer magazine has proven it out. Anyone, and I mean ANYONE who still believes they can NOT recommend one of their home grown FORD MOTOER COMPANY VEHICLES to those they love is a DAMN FOOL!!!!!! I am not suggesting that, the people who sunk their hard earned cash into the purchase of one, then reported it in a survey to their favorite magazine say so. Want quality, BUY A DAMN FORD, period!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Edited November 17, 2007 by Imawhosure

Furious1Auto
Ima, I said along time ago that the underdog has to work harder to prove their self. If you look at Ford as compared to the other domestics we have been in last place in one way or another. In the past few years where the improvement has been shown. GM had us in sales volume and profitability, and Chrysler had us in profitability, and marketshare stability that made us the bottom of the barrel. The other two's arrogance explains their short gains in quality. Since we had nothing to be proud of other than proving our worth as a work force and faced with many plant closures, a transformation has begun. I would like to caution everyone about being boastful and losing focus on what we began. We have made strides and people are beginning to take notice! This is not the time to lay down like a dog, but rather stand victorious like a champion. With our reduced capacity we cannot out sell our competition, but by surpassing their quality give our customers a justification for spending a little more for quality. It is up to you and me to decide whether or not we want job security, and how we want people to view our products. Stay focussed on your jobs and do not let one defect leave your job station without being addressed and you will be the reason that Ford "will" become the "preferred brand"!!!!!! You men/women and myself are building a great company, but don't forget where we have come from once you have received some praise! God Bless us all, and happy holidays to you and yours!!!!!!! TRUCK
Thanks for passing this info along to the rest of us. I 've been driving for 25 years. I have only owned 5 vehicles all of which have been Ford/Mercury products. Each one had over 150,000 miles on them when I traded them in on a new one. I currently have 2 Fords. One has 252,000 miles on it and the other has 117,000 miles on it. No complaints with either. I've said all along as long as I can get this kind of reliability out of a Ford why would I buy anything else. No sense in shooting yourself in the foot. mrballsonya
Thats great news. Hopefully the brainwashed Toyota minions will soon start to realize that their beloved cars aren't swiss made from, Titanium and Diamonds. Much like Wal Mart, I hate Toyota and everything they stand for. F*ck Toyota Edited November 18, 2007 by mrballsonya

wakeup
Thank you very nice post but we need to get more focused than ever before because as we are celebrating Toyota is rethinking and working hard...we need to get finatical about quality and cost like never before in our history...this is the only job security there is in life/....consumers make or break us. As I have said many times before--------->the pendulum swings. Ford was once the darling of the auto industry and was projected to take the top sales spot from GM by the turn of the century. The pendulum then swung towards the Asians, and with bad decisions by Ford, GM, and Chrysler........along with the UAW, here we sit. Has the pendulum begun its swing back? This report tells us yes. Of course, the pendulum had help from you guys, The Ford Motor employees!!!!! You are right, not time to gloat, but perfect how to kick em in the ass harder!!!!!! I did not post this report so as anyone could gloat, but rather so as the hardworking people of The Ford Motor Company could see that they are on the right track, they did make a hell of a difference, and most importantly..............people are seeing and measuring the difference, and reporting it to their subscribers!!! But--------->if you want to pat yourselves and gloat over this weekend guys/gals, I wouldn't blame you, and you certainly have everyones permission to do so!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Monday, go in there and KICK MORE ASS!!!!!!!!!!!

DISGRUNTAL
Kind of like Pearl Harbor. Sneek attack and plenty of death marches. But, in the end it was taken island by island. Just like it's going to take one vehicle at a time. And when they least expect it, drop the big bomb they didn't know existed. I know this sounds all corny, but with hard work and time will kick their rice asses back to Japan.
MelanieHasA Mustang
Such wonderful accolades at last. Obviously it was a stroke of genius for the Ford Motor Company to commence production of three of their most popular automobile lines in Mexico in order to achieve these kudos. I myself am very pleased with my new Lincoln MKZ.

I myself am very pleased with my new Lincoln MKZ. Please name the lines you are refering to? I suspect you may be giving Mexico credit for something they don't build. I will say as a U.S. production worker that your remarks an insult to my sacrifice! If you are talking about the triplets Fusion, Milan, and MKZ that's one line with three badges and hardley accounts for the majority of our sales. The last report I read the F-150 was still the top seller. Edited November 20, 2007 by Furious1Auto
Mark8LSC CE0464
Hey Ford workers: Congrats on a job well done! You don't have to take crap from anyone, you build the best and now the truth is out. This shows that your engineering team and your line workers have all got their collective crap together! Now, we can climb out of this hole and start kicking everybody's ass! :shades:
