RangerM
although i would like to know more about this "bridge to nowhere" thing....i saw her in an interview with sean hannity and she sort of avoided the question which makes me wonder not a big deal though because she ultimately put it down, but im not a huge fan of flip floppers What a Democratic Party Website said about it. The proposed Gravina Island Bridge, also known as the “Bridge to Nowhere,” became a national symbol of wasteful congressional spending and driver of earmark reform. On Sept. 21, 2007, the State of Alaska officially abandoned the controversial project. The Gravina Island Bridge initially received $223 million in 2005 via earmarks by Alaska Senators Ted Stevens and Lisa Murkowski. The bridge would have connected Ketchikan, Alaska with its local airport on nearby Gravina Island (population 50). Congress stripped the earmark after a national uproar about it but appropriated the money anyway for unspecified transportation uses. Former Gov. Frank Murkowski’s administration set aside about $113 million of the appropriation for the Ketchikan bridge. However, Gov. Sarah Palin said the $398 million bridge was $329 million short of full funding, and only $36 million in federal funds were set aside for it. She said it was clear Congress had little interest in spending any more money for it and that the state had higher priorities. fmccap
If obama is elected it will get much worse, ......he is trying to push a bill through Congress now for a global poverty tax......he wants us to take our taxes and give them to poorer nations....some of which are our enemies That is no different than we currently do. fmccap
How about answering Blackhorse's question....how can he cut taxes for 95% of Americans, when 40% currently pay zero.....maybe this 40% will be given money......is that how it will work? WOW, "how about answering a question" comes out of you.
Edstock
ok then why did you post it Because the topic was Palin, and the illustration was cogent. So Palin is now Hitler? Nope, but she is a politician, just like ol' Adolf was a politician. Hitler was also clinically insane... True; with Palin, we'll have to wait and see, as she hasn't been around long enough. i would not bring Hitler's policies up when talking about U.S. government... The same U.S. government that allowed IBM to supply the Nazis with the data system that enabled the logistics for the Holocaust? The same U.S. government that hired Reinhard Gehlen and his crew of Nazis?

Hemiman
a woman's liberty to choose. Why don't you call it "a womens right to abort a baby"? "Right (liberty) to choose" sounds like what you do when ordering your dinner from a menu. Frankly, I don't think anyone has the right to choose to kill child. And I'll vote to protect those who can't vote to defend themselves. And since we've brought Hitler into the discussion: I would not have sat by and watched while the Nazi's execised thier "right to choose". How is it we can convict someone of double murder when he kills a mother & her unborn baby, yet change all the rules at the abortion chamber? falcon lover
Palin is a good candidate for vicepresident. Have executive experience ( Mayor, Governor) , in fact, most executive experience than Obama ( 157 days in the Congress). Is a woman with soul, with strong values. Is a great mother, and have an American family like the common middle class americans. She have charism, and give a lot of good and young energy to the Mc Cain presidential campain. Mc Cain take advantage since Palin sayid her speech in the Republican Convention....Mac cain is 2-4 points top in the pools. The newspapers, TV and others medias are liberal and support Obama. But Palin have the experience ,Obama dont. My vote is for Mc Cain-Palin

DUCKRACER
perhaps i am too simplistic in my outlook, and probably WAY too simplistic in offered band aids....but ok, 250k getting taxed higher and unable to put back...well they seem to have TAKEN it to begin with correct? I have too many pretentious "friends' making money and gloating at the loopholes they utilize to either avoid or get returns....meanwhile 60% of the country is paying 90% of the taxes...clamp down on loopholes...and flat tax individual earnings...then its fair across the board....simple...but thats just me.....as for medical...waht a damn weapon for absolute greed and corruption....90% spent on advetising 5% on research and theres a pill for everything....also...get rid of the high dollar celebrity smoozing campaign trails...television only....enough of this donation and look after me down the road BS....if $ were not donated by BigOil, drug companies ( to name a couple ) it weakens their leverage big time and they cannot bend rules as much....man i sound like a conspiracy theorist ....apologies....politics is EXTREMELY wastful of dollars spent better elsewhere.....hell...how much was raised for Hillarys campaign....send the $ to New Orleans and let her campaign via broadcast..........but back on topic...I beleive middle class America carries an inappropriate amount of the countrys burden....and from what I have read countless times 15% across the board would actually bring more taxpayers dollars to the Govts coffer...the resistance is those whom vote for the policies are basically all > $250k.....and that is a conflict of THEIR interest......remember this is a country that is basically "All About Me" first and foremost........ You idiot. They did not "take" $250K they EARNED IT!

Deanh
Don't take my word for it....go look it up for yourself......never let the facts get in your way stats etc to me are all fuzzy math anyways, I do not profess to be a political analyst or economic major...far from it....in the 25 odd years i have been here i have NEVER seen the country in more dis-array, something I ENTIRELY blame on the current regime....i LOVE this country, could not imagine living anywhere else, but I swear, daily i get bombarded with anti Obama BS, today i got my first poke at McCain....so either there are a lot of lazy ass Republicans with nothing better to do than smear and badmouth or its a campaign strategy....who knows. Befuddles me all the bitching about the countries current state , yet the same people are willing to re- elect the party responsible.....hey, I'm neutral, Obama is an excellent speaker but too evangelical, McCain is like a damn puppet....I keep looking for strings and George above him.....all the posts barbs, namecalling yelling and screaming aside, people need to vote with their heads NOT their hearts or bias let alone throw gender or race ( GOD I hate those two fallback cards ) into the fire.....country needs to come first, personal beleifs, religion, sexuality, color etc should take a step back.......wish it was that simple, but SOMEONE has to fix the Republicans and Bush's absolute mess.......sorry if I have raised the ire of a couple of diehard loyalists...but some should open their eyes....pretty obvious where their vote is going regardless....shows a lack of ability to embrace and weigh both sides....
