Not really my place, but this would seem to be more appropriate as a PM to the Mods. That said, while I'm sure some see me as a "reich"-wing, knuckle-dragging neanderthal (and a tool), and I see them as blithering, drooling, open-mouth breathers ( ), a differing viewpoint is important if one is to maintain perspective. Best thing is to call out the untruths as you see them, and use the "report" button. If all else fails, you could choose to "ignore". retro-man
No! I would miss all his Britishisms like "Ford are" instead of "Ford is", and "rubbish" instead of bullshit. And the way he keeps bringing up the Cortina - a damn fine car if there ever was one. And the way he can resuscitate a thread at 3:00AM from the other side of the pond. Ford Jellymoulds
Gotta say l think you should ban Ford Jellymoulds this is the best thread you have done yet Ford Jellymould shaped cars are very boring, Ford would sell a lot more cars save a lot more jobs if some of their cars were not so generic same in design as everybody else's. If Ford want to get the car market moving & save jobs they need to build exciting cars again that the buyer wants to buy, last time we had a downturn as bad as this was the early 1970's oil crisis - You had crap like the Pinto that let the Japanese get a foothold in your market, we had the very exciting Mk1 Capri & Escorts, and the Mk3 Cortina cars that capatured 32% market share in the UK the highest it has ever been it's ever been, it just under half that market share at the moment in time. British Leyland had just over 50% market share in the late 60's when the awesome Mk1 Escort & Capri were launched by the end of the 70's they had next to nothing left of their market share. Japanese never got a look in and found it pretty near damm impossible to break into the UK market at the time all the time Ford were producing exciting cars. No l am not saying bring back the Capri which was the best sell sports coupe in Europe at the time, no l am not saying bring back the Cortina/Taunus that never left the No1 spot in the UK and Europe for nearly all its production life, no l am not say Ford should bring back the Ford Escort that also spent most of its life at No 2 until the Cortina stopped production, then it to moved to No 1 in Europe and also ended up being Fords best selling car of all time 22,000,000 million units. It's only other folk on BON that say l said bring back the Cortina - Capri - Escort, gotta say l have never mentioned it once, but l will defend them. Ford should do EXCITING cars again it would help get the market moving buying Ford cars again protect jobs, Ford never suffered during the early 70's oil crisis they just boomed at the time in Europe only a few gas-guzzling RS models suffered at the time. When Ford launch a new Mondeo, Taurus or Fusion you know exactly what they are going to look like l don't even bother to look at spy shots why because Ford car designs have become boring, dull & very stale indeed, and you will just know what the next one will look like before it comes of the drawing board. Trouble is the Mondeo is the best car in its class, it should be Europes No1 best selling car just like the Cortina - Escort - Sierra were. But it just looks the same as everybody else's boring dull bland shaped car it becomes annoymous so those looking ford a badge pick a BMW 3 Series or a lower priced better build quality Skoda. The Cortina used to sell more cars in the UK than the Mondeo will sell to the whole of Europe this year. Yes l am with you on this one Versa Tech ban Ford Jellymoulds :beerchug: Have a Merry Christmas and lets hope car sales pick-up around the world in 2009. Critic
I've spent a LOT of time on boards out of the UK. you haven't see slang used til you try to decipher what they are saying their. Listen, I don't see him slamming the product like MHL5 did at least he is a voice for the product. He is just one of a very very few people that join in from overseas. you really really need input like that. Believe me, the UK has no loyalty to any product. You've got kids, KIDS mind you, that are only 20 talking about the next new BMW they are going to purchase and the prices they pay, would knock your grandmothers socks off. We are lucky that no one from Japan has come here yet to cuss us out, Retro-man would turn into our full time translator. He doesn't bother me at all, he's not as irritating as that P-51 mustang was. I think he's just passionate about Ford, like a lot of us older people were back in the 60's-70's. He's also on a different time schedule, and he is winding down as we are cranking up. I say live and let live. But you know me, I'm just a critic.

Plenty of other people here are critical of the product without being so bloody repetitive or insulting about it. He's going to have a couple weeks to sit in the corner to think about it. Speaking of which though, Versa. Cool it a bit yourself with the insults. You can make your point without resorting to that. Critic
For Christ's sake would you downsize that signature FJM?! First thing I do, when I go to a new chat board is turn OFF my ability to see signatures. Yes, I want to see what EVERY component is in someones PC, or every vehicle they have ever owned or every this and that.. It's the worst thing I've ever seen. I've never missed NOT seeing one except when someone says, the answer is in my signature, then it really doesn't matter to me. We could do the same for Avatar's, but seeing one (and expecially mine) makes people think I'm smarter than I actually am.
