And well, I'm not really sure why the average driver would even have use for a voltmeter anymore anyway. They look nicer and more "upscale" but they really don't provide the driver with any really useful information these days. Speak for yourself. I've used my dash voltmeter several times to diagnose issues with electronic peripherals as well as vehicle malfunctions. The same can be said for the oil pressure gauge and engine malfunctions. How do the dash gauges help with that? Especially on a modern car. If you're working under the hood, you'd want a portable multimeter to use under there anyway. Oil pressure guage maybe.
