Element reminds me of the Freestyle. Panned by armchair Auto-CEOS, but loved-to-death by their owners.

Absolutely !

 

Ford has an opportunity to "capture" those customers IF they update the Connect. More HP, AWD, better interior and 2,000 lbs towing and those "loyal" Element owners will be dieing to get one ! That group f buyers does NOT want a SUV/CUV. They want a small box on wheels !!

When I was a passenger in one, I was completely amazed at how much room they had inside. It's almost like a TARDIS on wheels. It's small, easy on gas and can fit lots of gear. It is definitely a useful vehicle.

 

If the Connect can deliver on the same as a passenger vehicle it could sell enough units at a profit to justify itself.
