DC Car Examiner Posted August 10, 2011 Share Posted August 10, 2011 The Escape is the Corolla of the small SUV class: it's not as modern as competitors, it's not the best at anything, and it's not even the most affordable (last time I ran the numbers, at least), but it does everything decently enough that loyal customers haven't been given a reason to buy something else. Well you said that incentives (and I'm not even sure they are that great right now) was the main reason the Escape was selling well. If incentives is what sells vehicles then vehicles that had crazy good incentives like the Aztec should have sold well. In the end people will still buy the Civic no matter the reviews. It has a good reputation over the years and people will still buy it. The 2012 Civic is not the only recent Honda that CR has been less than impressed with: Honda redesigns: Is the automaker resting on its laurels?
