Anyone else awaiting their 2012?

I put an order in for an Screw last week. Already starting to get excited.... how about anyone else?

I ordered mine early Sept. got an e-mail from my sales lady a week or two ago. She gave me the VIN and said that it would be built Nov.21 and that 3 weeks later or there about it should arrive.

I hope this helps.

Yeah, I'm excited. I ordered a 2011 but later they told me the Nav could not be produced, so I cancelled it and ordered a 2012 Platinum 5.O 4x4 with side steps and tailgate step. Tuxedo Black.

The payload PKG is not an issue with me. The most I will probably be carrying is two Yamaha 125 trail bikes. I hope it has a smooth ride....

I'm hoping I can get more that the 19mpg highway rating. I wanted a 12 because the price difference was miniscule b/w the 11 and the 12. We'll see...

What motor are you getting???

That is going to be one beautiful truck. Enjoy!

I'll be thinking of your platinum while I'm in the garage for hours this winter installing those automatic runningboards that Ford is doing for you...

Those are just too awesome.

All things being equal I would have gone with the 5.0; but I need the max payload & tow. I'm coming out of a 2500HD for the last 10 years so the move to a "half ton" is kinda a big change for me.

This new truck beats my 2500HD in every category except payload.

I just got back from the LA auto show. They had a dark grey(?) Platinum 4x4 there. I crawled under it to look at the skid plates. I also glanced at the runningboards. You are a GENIUS if you can figure out the runningboards. At first I thought that retractable running boards were kind of for wussys. Then it hit me. They actually make the truck tougher because they give the truck a lot more ground clearance AND more convenience on entry. The battery had been removed or something because nothing on the truck worked so I did not get to see the running boards deploy.

Stay warm if you can.

As I understand it the trucks with factory installed auto running boards like yours will - have some options within the LCD screen... you can turn them off in either the up or down position.

I can see keeping them down would be nice when washing the truck, and some have suggested keeping them out&down in a parking lot may stave off door-dings.
