  1. I drive a Nissan because people like you relentlessly attacked me for suggesting Ford should build a T6-sized pickup truck. So guess what? I bought a T6-sized pickup truck. Ford doesn't offer one in the US, so I bought my first non FoMoCo vehicle EVER. I still own a 1966 Mustang though...
  2. 250rpm isn't significant. If the turbo didn't spool until 3000rpm, you might have a point.
  3. 275 lb·ft (373 N·m) @ 2,000–4,500 rpm Seems like plenty of "low end grunt" to me.
  4. I agree... even Hyundai manages 274hp out of their DI 2.0 turbo (260hp on regular) Ford's 252hp/247hp (premium/regular) seems low compared to the rest of the EB line.
  5. Hmm... http://youtu.be/xaHD7dHjoyo
  6. I'm not the moron who decided a protruding badge was a good idea ON AN ARMREST. If it was flush with the top surface, it would be fine.
  7. Can't wait for the carpal tunnel lawsuits that superfluous badge will generate.
  8. RAM 1500 gets a major redesign for 2013; they're trying to get some cash now before they have to firesale the 2012's. Silverado also gets a redesign in 2014, so the 2015 F-150 better have a few new tricks up its sleeve.
  9. If I'm forking over $20-30k+, I shouldn't have to beta test Ford software because they wanted to be "first to market" with a new technology. Owners are justifiably pissed when their new car's radio/climate control locks up frequently and the tranny bucks and hitches like a 16 year old learning to drive stick. That generates negative buzz which hurts Ford's reputation.
  10. Like the old Ford TFI ignition module. Worked most of the time... except when it burned cars to the ground. Good enough for production, right?
  11. That's why you make it a "Voice Command" button, not a "Siri" button. Android accepts voice commands as well.
  12. Who says it's any smaller? Unless you have hard numbers or scale reference objects, you can't make that determination. Compared to a current F-150 supercab: The only significant differences I see are the steeper sloped hood/smaller 3-bar grille and apparently scalloped lower side sheet metal. All the other bits (bed height, window frames, etc) seem to be fairly consistent.
  13. Don't forget the big-rig inspired slab fronted grille. 97-03 had a lower hood.
  14. Perhaps Ford is testing a new Ecoboost/8spd auto in an older chassis because it's approximately the same weight as the proposed "lightened" F-150.
  15. Enough about minivans already. Explorer and Flex compete in the 7-seat "minivan" segment. If the rear doors slid, they would be minivans (FWD, unibody, 3-row, rear lift gate)
  16. Sorry... didn't catch that. I was too busy filling the tank on my 2012 Ford Excursion with $0.88 gasoline.
  17. It's never a good business decision to put all your eggs in one basket. Ford has been burned in the past by neglecting and abandoning "shrinking" market segments in favor of cash cows.
  18. What figures? Tacoma outsells Tundra by over 20%. Frontier outsells Titan better than 2:1
  19. Misleading. Small truck sales crashed during the economic collapse of 2008. Every manufacturer put firesale pricing on their full-size trucks to prop up sales. It's hard to move an old, low content small truck when the 1/2 ton sitting next to it with tons of options is the same price after incentives. Small truck sales have rebounded, despite the lack of updates in the segment. For example, Nissan Frontier (last updated 2005) sales have increased 20% every year since 2009. Hell, even Ranger sales spiked from 55k to 71k in 2011 and that's a 13 year old design.
  20. My mother bought a Neon instead of a Focus because she didn't like the triangular headlights.
