Rouge rat
I agree the UAW does a lot of good and a lot of good for those who don't pay union dues. I don't and I benefit greatly. I am glad the UAW negotiated to honor Martin Luther King, Jr. by having this Monday designated as a Holiday and I am also glad for all the other Holidays the UAW has negotiated. Those who complain and bicker about the UAW have no clue what it's like in the real world. Go to another Company, where you may get one or two paid holidays a year. That is reality. You are welcome. I appreciate it that some of you salaried folks get it. Too many think Ford "gave it to them."
silvrsvt
14 holidays (if I counted correctly; no Easter Monday, but Voting Day this year) I have never heard of ANY other industry that has that many holidays ! Better check out the defense industry. Only 10 Federal Holidays last year....haven't looked at this years yet...

I work For another company after retiring from Ford and I get additional paid holidays you don't. I also get double time and one half for all work performed on these holidays. Once again Ford is a very good company to work for, but not the only one.
