  1. Happy Hour must start early for this guy.
  2. Not sure if I get the gist of this topic--If GM had a bigger market share compared to Ford, how does Ford have the "best selling nameplate"? http://www.nada.org/NR/rdonlyres/1DEA2F6F-2554-476F-93AA-8E5140832CEC/0/NADA_Market_Beat_2014_12.pdf
  3. Yes, this is a dumb story. Created to do what? Working at the Rouge this new F150 is tough and attractive. I think it scares the competition, a lot.
  4. Update on profit sharing-- http://www.detroitnews.com/story/business/autos/2015/01/27/hourly-workers-ford-gm-may-see-profit-sharing-dip/22437051/ And http://www.freep.com/story/money/cars/2015/01/28/detroit-automakers-profit-sharing-earnings-preview/22445199/ So, this guy is probably correct.
  5. Anyone seen the Commie Lady who hangs out by the Rouge lately? Or does her Marxist spirit take her to Florida in the winter?
  6. Slug, we have many skilled trades who vote Republican. They have their head so far up their own behind they don't know which end is up. They think they are helping themselves while they are screwing themselves and the rest of us. I've talked to many and not one has made a good case as to why any union member should vote Republican ever. Look at Indiana, Ohio, Wisconsin, NJ, Florida, etc. Republicans are trying to kill unions. Even here in Michigan. A union member who votes Republican should be called MORON at best, you can think of a lot worse.
  7. You are welcome. I appreciate it that some of you salaried folks get it. Too many think Ford "gave it to them."
  8. Ford can replace us and survive. When people quit or retire, Ford either replaces us or gets by with what they have. It doesn't make any sense to vote no and push for a strike. That is just asking to be replaced.
  9. We need product at the Rouge, DEP, DSP and DDMP. But it is DTP that seems to be against the contract and they have a full plant!
  10. Yep and the way it seems to be going and being egged on by the no voters, if there is a strike or lockout, it will be a long time.
  11. We are up against a lot of no voting nonsense.
  12. It is an amazing thought process. Those who don't know the past are doomed to repeat it.
  13. Even with the screaming letters, I think I agree with you.
  14. You can say that again and again and again. We are sick of Gary at the Rouge.
  15. That dude gives us all in the Rouge a bad name. It will be great when he retires.
  16. I heard it was going to arbitration. That was it.
  17. It's got the look of Gary and the SOS alright. I wouldn't put anything past these guys. They are only looking for cash and don't care if you have a job or not. Same with some other posters here. They got full plants and only think about themselves. I'm thinking about my brothers and sisters at the rest of the Rouge--DDMP, DSP, DEP, M&C and Tool and Die for job security before I think about giving Gary and his cronies more cash.
  18. There is something called an informed opinion. That is based on facts and information. For example, we have all heard or read that when Gary was in Chicago he didn't challenge Alan Mulally, but bitched at Bob King. Gary did not challenge the Company, he only challenged the UAW President. Gary is the most anti-union UAW rep. we have. Gary has gone against the UAW throughout his history and has voted NO on every contract. That is not challenging, that is stupidity.
  19. The problem, for one is a bargaining rep named Gary who has a full plant and he and his moron army want all our concessions back right now. They only give a damn about how much money they can shove into their pockets at the rest of our brothers and sisters expense. This is even dumber when you realize at the same time, most of the rest of the Rouge and many of our UAW locations in the USA need product.
  20. Marginal, you must be one of those company hacks I've been told about. Quit your job? Nice tip-off. Do you have an office at WHQ? Why not try to make it better through organizing a union? It is obvious you management types have been screwing the salaried folks.
  21. At the Rouge we need work at DDMP, DSP and DEP. The only plant that doesn't seem to need work and is full is DTP. Guess where we get all our union problems? DTP!!!
  22. I remember what you are saying. All these foreign companies passing themselves off as American and the Republicans totally supporting them and trying to destroy us. I tell you the Republicans are the most anti-American unpatriotic sons of bitches in this country. And you know what else? Many of my union brothers support these aholes!!! It makes me sick!!!
