Looking to get an MKZ should I wait for a model year end sale or..?

Don't expect a big "end of model year" sale - it just doesn't work like that any more. They just don't have big inventories of older models that they have to get rid of especially when there won't be any major changes between the 13's and 14's. You might get an extra $1K if you're lucky and you're able to find a leftover.

Doubt the pricing will change too much between now and end of the year. They did just start to offer some better lease deals if you were looking to go that way.

Yea I'm definitely looking to Lease.... I'll check it out

Agreed. It's not the mid-2000's anymore when Detroit foisted models onto dealers just to keep factories running and those dealers then in turn slapped cash onto hoods. They manage their inventories much better these days. And model year turnovers aren't the big, disruptive events they used to be either. Now, model years bleed and trickle into each other model by model as the makers introduce or refresh lines.

That said, I wouldn't be surprised if in the next year or 2 Lincoln juggles some option packages to improve the MKZ's value somewhat. Given the brutal competition in this class (New Q50, CLA, A3, ATS, 3 series, IS line, and ES with refreshed Buicks, Genesis, and Volvos and a new C-Class on the horizon) I still maintain the MKZ is a bit overpriced given its market position. I especially think for electronic options that are essentially software shared up and down the Ford line some major value moves should be made. 2K+ for the tech package feels a bit much.

I think it was 2b2 in a post who suggested a rejuggling of the MKZ's option packages that looked good...
