entropy
I might be the only person who never heard of this trick, but it is sooooooo cool, i just have to share: “The remotes can often lower a car's windows, allowing owners to start airing out the car before hopping inside. According to CNET, the trick usually involves pressing the remote's unlock button, releasing it, then pressing it again and holding down.” It WORKS!!!!!! All 4 windows fully open and the Moon roof cracks open Then, after locking the car, hit the lock button & hold it down. It'll close all 4 windows & moon roof. YAY!!!!! :happy feet: :happy feet: :happy feet: :happy feet: :happy feet: I know i am easily amused, but finding this out just made my day. karl

jniffen
My '04 Lincoln LS would lower the windows and open the sun roof. But for closing I have to have the key in the door lock and hold it in the locking position to close all windows and sun roof. It's a safety feature so a child wouldn't have his head out a window and someone would close everything with the keyfob. I'll try pressing it once then again to see if it will close it that way. Cool feature still.

billtkat
Tried this and worked for me but for some reason the passenger front window would roll down on the unlock but would not roll up on the lock side ? BTW this info is on page 88 in the manual or at least on the PDF one I downloaded Edited June 15, 2013 by billtkat
jeff_h
Tried this and worked for me but for some reason the passenger front window would roll down on the unlock but would not roll up on the lock side ? My salesman showed me this feature during the delivery process. For your one window that won't go with the flow, try to reset the window sensors (or whatever it is called) - 1 - Roll that window down, continue to hold button down for 3 seconds, 2 - Roll that window up, continue to hold button up for 3 seconds, 3 - Roll that window down, continue to hold button down for 3 seconds. That should be enough to cycle things so that the renegade window will now play along with the others... if not try it again in an up/down/up and see if that does the trick.
