hopperwagonbob
All I'm going to say on here with what I found out today is that if you can afford to wait, I'd wait a few months before getting a 2015. Won't go into specifics on here and I know I'm just some guy on the net typing away. If I wasn't in the situation I'm in now, I'd be waiting but there are too many factors that are preventing me from waiting personally. Take that for whatever it's worth. I hope Ford is reading this!! Is this a 6.7 issue or the truck itself? The truck hasn't changed that I know of. And I'm getting the gas 6.2. Should I consider this? Thanks
blwnsmoke
@hopperwagonbob - strictly a 6.7 issue. You have no worries with the gasser.
Guerriero
Id like to know about the engine issue to. I talked to my friend on the launch team friday, she didn't have a clue. She travels from the plant to Michigan on every new model change.any update you can share?

Guerriero
Any particular reason for the late availability?
dan222
If the trucks are coming off the line, how come Ford can't update their website with the new 2015 SuperDuty Truck specs etc.?
SilverLS
There is some information on the Ford Web site and I see that there are some 2015 Super Duty's in stock already in Florida.
akirby
If the trucks are coming off the line, how come Ford can't update their website with the new 2015 SuperDuty Truck specs etc.? Because they're still trying to sell the 2014s.
blwnsmoke
There is some information on the Ford Web site and I see that there are some 2015 Super Duty's in stock already in Florida. They are not at the dealership, all they are doing is advertising the ones they have ordered. Ford has not given the "ok to buy" order yet and until they do, they will all sit at the factory. Once the "ok to buy" happens, trucks will start shipping. I've been told that will happen on or around 3/29.
blwnsmoke
Because they're still trying to sell the 2014s. Exactly, I bet we don't see them on the site until the ok to buy happens. They just became available on the x-plan website yesterday. Up till this weekend, you could only request a pin on the 2014s.

blwnsmoke
Well it asked for what vehicle I wanted and it didn't have a 2015 option so I assumed it was. Good to know for next time.
dan222
Well their site does say Available Spring 2014. Guess what tomorrow is? 1st day of Spring. Maybe the "ok to buy" will be then. Looking forward to seeing some 2015, might just upgrade my TV to get that extra payload.

blwnsmoke
Apparently 2015s have started hitting dealer lots today. They can't be bought yet because the "ok to buy" hasn't been given yet but they are arriving.
Ford truck guy
Ok... So I need to find a dealer close to me so I can take my hitch mounting plates and hold them up to the frame and make sure they are going to fit.... If anybody can help with that , it would be fantastic... I am north of Philadelphia in Bucks County.... Any direction will work.

Ford truck guy
Thanks Dan222.... I believe that all the ones I found are incoming, and not on their lot as of yet.. there are way too many 2015's showing in the area... I will call a few after their front doors open this morning and ask around....
akirby
OK to buy normally means they're held at the factory for inspection before shipping, so unless something changed those are not yet at dealers. Perhaps you saw them in the dealer inventory but I bet they said "ordered".
blwnsmoke
http://www.thedieselstop.com/forums/f203/just-2015-superduty-422769/ @akirby, no, a dealer in Michigan has it on his lot. Edited March 20, 2014 by blwnsmoke
