gafry
Does anyone know the gas mileage of the new 2015 F150?? Dodge is boosting 28 mpg
YT90SC
That is the 2wd diesel. There is no way that ANY of their gas powertrains get close to that.
92merc
If you look at their gasser 5.7 with 8 speed trans, in 2WD it is getting 15/22. Ford is already just one off that with the EB35. Even their 3.6 V6 is 18/25. My bet is Ford will be able to match that with the 2.7EB, with more torque, and still on the 6 speed trans. A couple years later when Ford starts running the 10 speeds, I'd expect at least a 2 mpg jump again. Once that happens, the 2.7EB/10speed will be cheaper to buy, cheaper to fill, and just as good in every respect or better than the Ram diesel. TurboTi
I'm excited about the new truck, and would love for it to get great mileage, but I think the 2.7 ecoboost will get the epa rating of 18/25, and the way I drive it will probably get closest to the lower number. I want the new F150, but I havn't decided on the engine. I don't think there will be a massive difference in mileage no matter which engine. Justinw
I heard that we would have those numbers sometime in November once EPA certs were completed. Shouldn't be long now.
