Went very well until one morning when clouds of blue smoke from the exhaust. Eventually started, with knocking sound. After a while it warmed up and behaved far better. No smoke when it's warm. A stuck open injector will do everything that you say it is doing, as will low high pressure fuel pressure. Hard start, lots of smoke, knock. I am unfamiliar with the 1.4 itself, but here in the states I'd make sure that the FRP sensor is not biased and that the HPFP is making enough pressure, but there is a real possibility that the fuel system has been compromised.
