JT32
Where do u get that info from, and how confident are u in that? Will they keep their original start date or get screwed and have to use their FRAP start date as seniority? They will be permanent frap employees when 3rd shift is added
BigDeal
Just my opinion bud, i dont have the answers..but if they formally announce a frap 3rd shift in the contract details things are looking up for you guys.
JT32
Ok, just curious. Everyone (iUAW, Ford) is so hush hush with any info for us it makes it very nerve racking

JT32
Another question I can't get fully answered is those from MAP on ILO but working at another plant on assignment, are they eligible for the signing bonus, and does the time they've been on assignment go towards their profit share? Ive asked many times and have gotten "I believe so" and at orientation in July "not sure, let me check" ... Never heard back

Ive asked many times and have gotten "I believe so" and at orientation in July "not sure, let me check" ... Never heard back Yes they are eligible and will receive a signing bonus. Those from MAP who refused to go to other plants and instead took a layoff are NOT eligible for the signing bonus. In order to receive the signing bonus you MUST be on the ACTIVE roster 90 days prior to the contract being signed, the same applies goes to those off on medical leave.

BigDeal
The only question is are you classified as a temporary worker right now? I dont know if that would be a problem, gm temps are only getting $2000 signing

trailfndr
Are you being paid LTS wages? If not, then you are a FULL TIME employee
BigDeal
Lts wages same as entry level...i would ask committee man to check seniority list it would say if you are associate, entry level or lts
JT32
That's what is so confusing to all of us I am a full-time employee at map but I was put off on ILO then sent to flat rock on LTS assignment status. I do not get short work week and I cannot bump anybody or sign any bids, myPay has stayed the same. Trust me I've asked a few different committeeman and I've also asked bargaining reps at flat rock and I cannot get a straight answer from anybody. fuzzymoomoo
Even the boobs from international that talked to us during orientation couldn't really give us a straight answer to any of our questions. Once again, people wonder why I'm so bitter
