  1. I myself dislike leather, I don't mind dressing in it for sex, ya know, harnesses, chaps, whips, etc. But unfortunately the vehicles I keep buying, have it standard.... and because my LS has Cooled seats, I'm guessing it's easier to do the preforated leather to allow for that, rather than cloth. My 2 biggest beefs is the initial "Ouch" on a hot sunny day, and the creases it forms as the leather ages.
  2. I wish some stereotypes about Lincoln would be changed as well I guess the 4.4L Yamaha will become a Volvo exclusive. Hmmm, maybe a 3.5L Bi-Turbo for Lincoln at least??
  3. 2V with Manual? Another half-assed effort. They couldn't find a manual that can deal with the 4.6L 3V, or they rather just not bother? Only benefit I would see from this is making the 2V Manual combo as the fuel economy leader (if you want that spin)...
  4. Lets not forget, on brochures and website, you'll have disclaimers saying that they reserve the right to modify/change/alter, etc.etc. If they stated the vehicle would have a 6 speed automatic... well, it does have it. And even if it didn't, they still warrant the right to again, modify/change/alter, etc. Might not be the 6F, but it's still a 6 speed automatic.
  5. Ford isn't the only one to do that, everyone from Lexus to BMW will only put the real thing on the parts that touch your body. Some might go thru the added expense of maybe using it on the rear seat map pockets as well (like the F-150 King Ranch).
  6. I'm talking about stretching it to over 120In. wheelbase, something along what a minivan would require.
  7. It's like a Fusion, Escape that had sex...this is the results styling wise. Nothing wrong with the vehicle...get comfy with it, dont' be surprised to see it in it's next generation on a new B-platform.
  8. Thats one thing I do love on the Mariner is the ice blue lighting. Thankfully they resisted from using piss-yellow and bloody tampon reds...
  9. Luckily the 3.2L I-6 can be turbo boosted. But this is another case of a newly redesigned vehicle that will be overlooked because it looks like the previous generation design. Granted, this is a conservative base that unfortunately most won't care, but Ford should have learned with Jaguar that it doesn't work. You can be evolutionary without being radical.
  10. I'm sure there's limitations as to how big this platform can be taken, so for bigger size duties, I think the C1 would be quite limited. My bestfriend has a Mazda5 and it's great for the most part, other than her complaint (and mine) is passing power. Hopefully they'll be some sort of engine upgrade in the future, other than when the 2.3L grows to 2.5L I-4.
  11. THe same thing I say to people when they notice that the stairs leading up to the 2nd floor, do not have a railing... "IF you fall, your the weekest link, your stupid, you should die". Same thing with fingers caught in doors...."if your not paying attention, you should know better, your the weakest link, learn"
  12. The keypad is also located in the same place as it was formally...Under the drivers door handle. Maybe midgets have better luck accessing it at that point, plus it sticks out horribly. They did brag about blackening out the B-Pillar posts, it's a shame they didnt relocated it there.
  13. The chiclette buttons aren't really that hard to decipher. People are preferring knobs to adjust A/C temp/air flow. Once you figure it out it's not hard to decipher. Ive dealt with the one on the S40 and it's pretty easy, not at all intimidating. I've also dealt with the Mazda6 one, and at first I thought the "look down, adjust, look up to verify", would be annoying but I grew accustomed to it in just minutes.
  14. And most importantly, in the next 2 years...hmmm corralation somewhere ?
  15. The 200HP version of the 3.0L, and a 4 speed automatic? OH I'm sorry, I thought Ford was serious about making cars again, maybe not.... Another case of "newly redesigned vehicle, with previous generation powertrain"...
  16. LINK-TCC.com Scroll down 3/4th of the page, and you will see pictures of a car with interesting set of doors. Maybe this is something the Fairlane could sport....
  17. And 35% of those Charger sales went to fleet...But at least it's better than the 49% of the Magnum...
  18. "I love The New super-duty it is What Ford needs every product it makes to be. IT DOMINATES IT CLASS!!!!! It is not just good enough. and I hate trucks. " This is ssooooo true, and Ford has stated they will do everything to keep their stronghold leadership of the truck class. So we see what Ford is capable, yet have we seen them say they are wanting to fight back for leadership in the car segment? No... Ford has not yet (and it has shown us) that they are serious in the car segment just yet.
  19. There are some cars that their styling is very timeless, first generation Taurus/Sable is one of them. I just saw a 92 Mazda 929 is great condition and the car looked timeless in styling as well...hard to imagine that it's almost 14 years since that time. Mazda Millenia is another vehicle which it's styling is timeless and looks at home next to any Lexus any day.
  20. Couldn't they have used a bit more, hmmm healthier model, to display the step feature?
  21. And it's seling well more than the Cadillac EXT, so sure why not offer it.. It's just a big bowl of profits anyways.
  22. Are we sure this is Focus coupe, and not Fusion Coupe ?
  23. Whats funny though is, all this is pretty much BS if only the division were to be sold off...As in, it's written AS if Volvo has a buyer. My question would be, "Who said Ford was selling it?"... LINK-Autoweek.com
