Well it is ugly to some people :P :shades: I like it but I have zero need for it, but I've been pushing my sister to get one when her lease is up on her Explorer, but she was parroting...it doesnt get good MPG...Seriously I wonder what is wrong with people, I told her after that it gets the same if not better MPG then a minivan or any other vehcile its size. It sure does better then her Explorer does with its V8. I wonder where people get that a 4000lb vechicle can get 30 mpg or whatever..

This is the same company that made a suprise profit the first quater of this year also...theres no telling what the Future will bring between now and then.

I'll be Ralph's counterpoint. I have a loaded 06 Mustang GT and I've driven my Parents 08 Sable Premier a couple times. Mustang: The Ride can suck on it at times (uneven roads), but its a vast improvement over the 98 Mustang GT I had and was almost on par with the 02 SVT Focus I had. I drive the car every day and have a tad over 50K on it The plastic interior kinda blows on it, but this looks to be fixed on 2010MY. I love the design, but the materials leave alot to be desired. Zero problems with the Mustang since I got it, though I've had two gremlins with it...check engine light came on when I first got it and then went off, and I was having issues with the driver sides window not seating properly the past couple weeks...but has been fine this week. Go figure Sable: Has decent power out of it with the 3.5L I'm underwhelmed totally by the interior...even though it has soft touch plastics, its pretty lame designwise. I don't like the command seating on the car, I feel like I sit up way too high in the car.. Handles alright for a car of its size. Overall I'm bored to death by the Sable, but I'm pretty excited about the new Taurus. it fixes the styling issues inside and out and looks to be exciting

Sooooo we are gonna get a Explorer Hybrid or is it going to beat the Highlander HEV with a regular (ecoboost) Engine? Kills me that they make such a big deal about these Electric Green Cars, but yet Ford won't make any money on them

Damn the MKS is the best Selling Lincoln this past mnth! Not too shabby for a car like this in this market. The Flex is still puttering along at 2500 units a month though...though I do wonder if/when the economy picks up if it will ever sell close to 100K units a year, I think 50-60K is it

Can we say ignorant? Seems like he has something stuck up is ass (most likely his head)...and totally ignores the fact that the car has been vastly improved in refinement and will be getting a power boost next year (yeah I know same tired song from Ford) and still can run circles around the overweight pig called the Challenger and Camaro...if you can even get your Camaro next year..

Could always just let your kid pay for it himself/herself...I see no problem with helping with college, but at the same time, its downright stupid to even think about footing the entire bill unless you want to be in debt the rest of your life. College loans suck (I dont have any), but why should you suffer unnessarly for your kid, who should be taking responisbity for their own life? Oh BTW I was in the Military for four years and had my employeer help foot the bill for my degree

doubtful with the current direction Ford has been going. Most concepts that will wind up in production look much like their production brethern. Only Pie in the sky stuff like Plug Hybrids and Hydrogen cars only have styling cues that future Fords might possess

That would make it a 2011, plus there has been grumblings of the Fiesta getting pushed back a little bit also...I don't see the Focus and Fiesta launching at the same time

I've been hearing that many of the auto manufactures are bitching about the Hall they have the NAIAS at, could that be part of the reason?

Thats one thing I really didn't care for on my parents Sable, you sit up too high in it for a car..I know that was one of the selling points of the Ford 500 at the time, command seating. But then again I am used to sitting in a Mustang every day too.

I was just thinking, who the hell came up with the lame sounding Sport moniker for the Fusion with the 3.5L V6? If anything, the Sport name sounds like a tacked on pinstripe and spoiler addition that a dealership puts on and adds $1500 bucks to the price of the car, Why didn't they go for a more respectible name like Fusion GT or Fusion ST?

Why heck are they still building it on the P2 platform? I thought it was going EUCD?

I think its the center white stripe on the seats that make it look the same as the Mustang...

Is it me or does the MKZ have almost the same seats as what is found in the 2010 Mustang?

I have to tend to agree with you, the problems Unions face these days that most jobs demand some sort of skill, where as most autoworker jobs can be done with on-the-job training with semi-skilled labor out of high school. Thus the pool of possible workers is much larger vs a job say computer programing that requires some skills or just can be outsourced to some third world country for cheap LOL :P If you have skills that hard to get, you don't need a union to pay your way.

LOL I dont even have kids yet, but having a 4 door car would be a great thing to have otherwise...planning on keeping the current Mustang anyways when I get a new car. Don't think I can swing two car payments, one for a new Mustang and another for a new Fusion Sport or MKZ Sport LOL

Neat stuff, makes me want to get another Mustang! Ugh I need a more practical car though

Have they released any performance numbers for the MKZ or what the Sport Model will look like?
