Name a small car that Ford has made money on?

Anyone have any pictures of what these looked like? I'm curious to see...

I'd like to know where you went. I got better service ordering my 2 Mustangs from the one stealership vs the jackasses I'd dealt with in getting my SVT Focus, and this was before the program was expanded...

I had an 08 VW Jetta Rental with 300 Mile on it...to tell you the truth I really liked the thing, but VW reputation for long term relibaliblty leaves alot to be desired. I put about 1100 miles on it before getting my Mustang Back...

Um how would they do that if Hermosillo plant is near capacity? Anyways, I think this is more or less a scare tactic for Chicago to pass a COA... Ford has already stated that they will keep improving the Taurus and we'll have all new sheet metal on the car in under 2 years if its a 10MY release. Think about it..its Almost 2008, how is Ford going to find another plant in say 18 months to move it to? Remember this is Ford we are Talking about Keep in mind also that even if the MKS sells only 25-50K units a year that is a pretty sizable increase and would push capacity levels higher then they are now... Plus it would really help if they advertised the damn thing...I hope this new guy from Lexus fixes Ford's TV advertising problems.

The Major problem with it is that it had no future with Ford's concept of having supplier parks next to the plant...for crying out loud a airplane crash could take out the plant! Its that close...I remember flying over it this past July.

I doubt this is going to be their train of thought when it comes to this, if anything it means options like wheels or nav systems might be dealer installed options, not whole different trim levels. Personally I rather order what I want and get what I want instead of kicking myself later when I don't have an option on a car since I bought it off the dealer lot. Plus you have to pay a lot fee since it was taking up space...:rolleyes:

The problem is that people will bitch about it but does it stop anything? I don't see people boycotting Walmart because they are selling made in China goods (or any other major Retail chain) Most people give less then two fucks where a car is made, and I don't see people not buying a Fiesta because its made in China... People will vote with their pocketbooks, even if that means its shooting themselves in the foot long term.

Thats what I don't get, you have no qualms buying a car from a country with a similar way-of-life, but if some "dirty" and "poor" Mexicans make it, its the end of the world? In the end its still less jobs for Americans...

Just like the Isuzu diesels in GM's HD Trucks and the Dodge RAM's made in Mexico?

I agree to a point... Well it could be coming from 10 years of buying performance tires..but I think that $100-120 dollars for a performance tire is pretty reasonable. I can get replacement 18 inch tires for my 06 Mustang GT installed from Tirerack.com for around $640... Using the Edge as an example, you can get replacement tires in 17 inch size for $75 bucks and 18inchers for $90...nothing out of this world there...

Huh? The 3.5L moves the AWD MKX and Edge pretty damn good...I drove a Edge and it has pretty good power, and thats coming from someone that drives a 06 Mustang GT every day.

Its called a spoiler delete option Dealers get cars like that because your typical car buyer thinks Spoiler=fast Hmm...last time I looked the Mustang GT offered 3 different wheel options two 18inchers and one 17 inch

Not blind, more like getting fed money to keep a blind eye to it, but I wonder at times, how do companies expect to keep making money if their consumers don't have jobs to pay for them?
