  1. Nothing it seems . . . . The GT was built to specifications to win Le Mans, not VIR.
  2. As long as the vehicle looks good and performs well in its market segment, I'm fine with it . . . and I'm a Mustang Owner/Fan.
  3. I enjoy any race car a manufacturer lets to the public. And I have a sliver of hope Super Stock may turn into a retro 'pro stock' for NHRA events.
  4. They tried that with the "car of tomorrow" a few years ago, and I believe that hurt more than it helped. It will be interesting to see the difference between the new Aussie V8 Supercar Mustang and the NASCAR Mustang.
  5. Which could indicate the GT500 may also have the older headlights. . . a la . . current gt350.

  8. Perhaps not quite yet, as Jan/Team Corvette had a huge lead in the race, but driver error lead to Ford's win. Good race . . . .
  9. If this is true . . . then FMC will have more vehicles I'm interested in when/if I want to replace my F150 in a few years. Bronco Ranger Fusion Active Wagon Focus Active

  12. The FIA has suggested the 2020 cars return to more of a GTP regulations (such as http://tech-racingcars.wikidot.com/mercedes-clr). The cars will be bigger with 2 seats in the cockpit, spec hybrid system in the front, and up to ~520-550hp from the engine). And also to have 1/4 budget of the current LMP1 factory effort. http://sportscar365.com/lemans/wec/details-of-2020-hypercar-design-revealed/
  13. Agreed! Though if FMC had the $ and resources, I'd love them to be in all forms of motorsports! Looking forward to the race this weekend. Velocity Channel is covering all 24hrs for those who may not know.
  14. Cadillac pulled the ATS-V out of competition (Pirelli World Challenge) last fall, only the IMSA Cadillac Prototypes remain.
  15. http://www.offroadxtreme.com/news/the-father-of-the-f-150-raptor-jamal-hameedi-departs-ford/ Not sure if this has been posted, as I could not find any recent posts/threads about Jamal. Sad news for us FMC Performance geeks! (Also weird that I can't find an official FMC Press Release.)
  16. But wait . . . http://www.thetruthaboutcars.com/2018/04/ford-fiestas-not-looking-dead/ Lots of speculation, LOL.
  17. I believe NASCAR is instituting restrictor plates at the All-Star race this year. Crazy . . .
  18. https://www.nhra.com/news/2018/new-ford-mustang-funny-car-body-scheduled-debut-2019 But what about the engine?! Pains me (not really) to see FMC bodies thrown on top of spec engines. I'd still like to see a GT3 or even (God forbid) a GT2 Mustang in addition to the current GT4.
  19. http://performance.ford.com/series/drag-racing/news/articles/cobra-jet/2018/04/2018-cobra-jet-announcement.html
  20. http://www.espn.com/racing/nascar/story/_/id/23214257/ford-change-fusion-mustang-nascar-cup-series-2019 Knew this was coming . . Hope the body shell looks better than the Xfinity Mustang.
  21. Are both those renderings from Gran Turismo? I haven't seen any official team/factory photos.
  22. https://www.motorsport.com/v8supercars/news/mustang-supercars-1027167/ Good to see Factory involvement again even with the Gen2 spec chassis. Curious if Ford will move to Coyote based powerplants . . .
