Unions (generally) blindly endorse ONLY the democrat candidate each and every elections cycle. Its a statistical impossibility to support only one candidate each and every time and honestly say they are the best person for the job at hand. Then again no one has ever accused the IUAW / UAW or its locals as being smart or objective.

Stamping operations should be moved to an assembly plants campus / supplier park. Its about time Ford got smart and efficient.

Whatever the outcome, the rank and file will never hear the real details from the union, we will have zero say moving forward and continue to pay even though we all paid more and it was partied away.

I was a rep (different union) before coming to Ford and have zero desire to be a babysitter again. More specific if I ever had a major problem I trust the legal / civil system far better than the grievance system. Union representation is like testing your insurance company . You do not know how good or bad it is until you try it. I tried it once in two decades and it's a joke but I have great insurance.

Never had one in +20years . If I was ever in that situation I prefer to speak on my own behalf and merits Vs one of the clowns wearing a shirt.

Pretty sad the top people making top salaries STILL stole more. "Let them eat cake" comes to mind. If there was an opt out option to fully opt out I would check it off. The actual corruption at the top is bad enough but getting the "The UAW endorsed Biden" is hard to swallow. Forced membership is a pretty sad way to keep or get new members.

We did. The UAW just cut off representing him after his plea deal.

California is #1 in poverty. Democrat run and a lot of academic seniority people that have all the answers but yet it's tanking. Poetic justice of sorts.

Irony: Making a new hire production employee wait 6 years to reach top rate. IUAW staff stealing dues and getting 6 years or less prison time.

It's pure BS and the actual numbers back that numerical assessment up. The China economy was tanking and they nuked the world to drag everything else down. Thanks in part of having a president that is not a career politician or went into public service for personal enrichment for decades. The USA should not rely on foreign countries to supply our prescription drugs, manage domestic food supply /companies among other things we use. Lobbiests, politicians and corporate America shifted a lot of things away and padded their pockets and screwed our country and workers. Hopefully it's a wake up call.

I hope president Trump tells China to just write off any debt we owed them for starters. Some career people are mad certain politicians are being voted out , SCOTUS and fed judges being replaced so less activism from the bench. Japan , Sweden and some other countries are not shut down and functions yet the sky is falling here in the USA. Never let a good crisis go to waste. People try to advance their agenda on both sides ,I really do not trust any politicians and we are all along for the ride.

Just looked at our pay-stub online and there is a sub statement / application that looks like it needs filled out and returned to the plant. You would think this would be automatic in this recent context / event.
