  1. Some of those cars were setup that way... for weight transfer. We used to used beat shocks in front for that same transfer. Pretty sure one of those galaxies was a manual... watch the front jump... god I love that...
  2. 2 days and no-one has commented on the Russians "Policing/Invasion" of the Crimea and the fact this could lead to a bit of trouble? ( I would mention that certain govt people are trying to get the military cut down below pre WWII levels but- I really guess I don't have to...) I suppose we'll just wait and see what Tuesday brings.
  3. And THERE it is... the race card again. Talking economic theories and you bring that in. It's like we're discussing how we like our steak done and you say we're racist for not including chicken.
  4. I have 3 Kids ranging from 9th grade to kindergarten... I can see a major shift where the kids are only being taught to pass those damn tests. My 10 year old got a test back the other day. in it, the teacher had marked a multiple choice question wrong. It was something like 'which is the correct statement for =0 a 0 x 1, 1 x 0, 1 x 1, etc. my son had marked 0 x 1 and it was marked wrong. I emailed the teacher asking how this was wrong, since 0 x 1 is the SAME as 1 x 0 as a phrase.... I was told that the standards test will only accept 1 x 0 as the correct answer. Talk about ridged thinking.... Something has to change.. the whole school thing is broken.
  5. You know how that fox ends up with a chevy? I raced for years and a lot of buddies would blow the ford engine... or get a body with a dead engine.. and they would have this other gm engine in the back corner of the shop doing nothing... Most racers could really care less who manufactured the engine under the hood. If you have a garage full of chevy parts - your racing with a chevy. BTW... you can fit ANYTHING in a fox chassis... ANYTHING... remember when the 460 stroker 514 engines were commonly put in there?
  6. I find it amusing that you seem fine with the idea of theft. It is NOT the victims fault... I might even start to let my dogs out at night. Irregardless... I do find it a bit odd that only the AR is missing....
  7. Your so right... he has no reason to expect HIS property inside HIS attached garage to NOT be stolen. Just like I have no right to expect that my stuff inside my car in my own driveway to NOT be stolen. Sounds to me like they just left it out since they didn't have time to clean it that day. But your so right... if it isn't nailed down it's an open invitation to steal someone else's stuff right? Kinda struck a nerve since I recently had 2 gps's and my engine reader stolen out of my and my wife's car.
  8. Awesome - thank you! Looks like my Mach one did when I first got it... had to have it pulled out of the guy's garage because of a seized brake piston. Fixed that... put in gas and some in the 390's carb and vroom! off it went.
  9. IF I was a student and didn't have a texas ID ... I think I'd have an absentee ballot for my home state... as for the travel... well most people know you have to work for what you want. No one said that life was easy or fair. If your right to vote is that important (and it is...) then MAKE time to get the proper ID. Don't give them the fish... teach them to fish.
  10. Sorry, but I don't see the issue with a photo id... if someone can potentially find several 'non-picture' forms of ID... why can't they obtain a govt picture id? I don't mean to sound harsh, but if someone is too stupid or lazy to bother getting the correct id... do you really want them to be able to cast a vote? Dem. Republican, or whatever... I think I'd prefer someone who can do a bit more than hear thunder and see lightning to cast a ballot.
  11. Haven't seen the peeling door handle.. but broken ones I've already had to replace 2... (my Milan's driver inner and my Father's 2010 fusion driver inner.) They snap inside where the cam pulls the cable. FWIW it is a fairly simple replacement.
  12. Ah... yes the shift to second... bite (chew) third... bite (chew) 4th... put the burger down and get a drink from the soda wedged between the console and the seat ...(65 mustang with console...)
  13. just wait till you are late leaving work to pick up your son at daycare... you get into the car turn the key and... the dash lights up and the anti theft blinks. Guess who had to get a perfectly good car towed because the coding went bad on the key... and his irate wife had to pick up the 2 year old at daycare late.
  14. I try to keep my opinions on the president to myself... but I can't help feeling that this presidency will be examined historically... but not in the way certain people think it will be.
  15. Actually... yes it is... lol. It's going to get quite crowded in the Mediterranean - With Vlad the mad at the Russian helm this introduces even more instability in the region. I think these events may be a bit more urgent than what color Obama's underwear is or how well someone thinks he wears them...
  16. Great... here comes the Russian fleet... and the left and right fiddle as Rome burns...
  17. Is anyone else starting to feel a bit jumpy about the way events are unfolding in the Mideast a present? I'm viewing the whole region as a powder keg...and I hope any involvement into Syria isn't a lit match. This might be a bit more serious a topic than who said what about who's skin... http://news.yahoo.com/on-syria--is-obama-treading-in-bush-s-iraq-footsteps--151321791.html http://news.yahoo.com/us-working-details-military-strike-syria-132137824.html And many more... I find these reports to be rather ominous...How ready are you for WWIII?
  18. Please... If they were truly serious about safety we'd all be strapped into our fitted seats like NASCAR or F1, wear helmets and fireproof suits. Everything we do now is a compromise; airbags, seatbelts (car type) etc... I'm not downplaying the advancements - but you need to figure out just how far you need to go.... uber padded headliner... a bit over the top to my view.
  19. The reason the 5.0 is more remembered is simple.... in 1987 I looked at both NEW. a 5.0 5spd notchback coupe with a/c and stereo (yes crank windows and all) sold for 11,700.00. An SVO was on the lot for 15k.... guess which car my 22 year old low income self bought? did I want the SVO... hell yes! Could I swing the cash (at the time) uh...nope.
  20. Headliner?! You know.... if your head is hitting the roof you've either NOT got your seatbelt on or you are in a world of trouble already... Does the CMax have a rollover test? I guess a convertible is even safer since there is no roof to hit your head on when the top is down... nothing but clear skies and unyielding blacktop... Sorry if I offend... but this sounds a bit silly
  21. Have you seen the SIZE of the NSA building?? It is the US govt after all...lol Plus storage gets more efficient every day... (my own personal observations - and my job)
  22. I'd almost be willing to bet that it's the plastic inner wheel liner rubbing against your tire or suspension... Especially if you only hear it on the move.
  23. Hey I hear Jill Wagner's available....lol
