Didn't they spend something like $500 million on a new building at NAP a year before it closed? Investment means nothing. It only gives a bigger write off.

I wish most people on this board could understand the employee's frustrations watching Chrysler and GM bring new products to market and watch them turn their business around, all while Ford languishes on with lackluster product. While Ford reduces it's offerings, other car companies realise in order to grow, they must offer more choices to the consumer. I really wish you could understand, but you won't. The Mercury Mystique was produced in the same American plant as the Contour. The quality problems were not because of the labor or the assembly point. It was the engineers fault for trying to cut too many corners.
