  1. Thanks Nick. I have no problem with people expressing anger and frustration over management decisions but when it gets personal and abusive I want no part of it and it has no place on this site.
  2. You're kidding right? GM and Chrysler are closing down production completely in Q3 :party2: :party2: :party2: Ford announces an increase in production for Q3 over 2008 levels. :party2: :party2: :party2:
  3. It's their main strategy to meet ever tightening CAFE limits. Released initially as engine options but later you will see the likes of 1.2 EB replacing 2.0 I-4, 1.6 EB replacing 2.5 I-4 and 2.0 EB replacing 3.5 V6. I read in one of Ford's press releases they intend selling something like 500,000 EBs a year by 2102(?)
  4. You're not serious are you? All of that fake front is stuck on camouflage, it's Mazda nose on a Ford truck for goodness sake.............
  5. Here's some better spy pics from Australia. 2012 Ford Ranger T6 Australian spy photos
  6. AUS$50 billion for 2009/10 expected to rise to AUS$60 billion for 2010/11
  7. I don't believe demand is as high as the market is pricing but if it is, Ford is ready this time with products coming to suit this very prospect. No matter what, I think Ford is right where they want to be, in the box seat.
  8. The whole market is dead at the moment, if you like the Expy and can get a great deal, go for it.
  9. You realize you're quoting a Soviet Union newspaper to support your claim. No bias there of course......
  10. GM and Chrysler bankruptcy is gold to Ford, the media can't help making comparisons and the longer it all goes on the better it is for Ford.....
  11. So the market must be misinformed as to the size of stockpiles, or they're overcompensating for OPEC cuts. Wasn't one of the major topics at the recent G20 summit the regulation of speculation in energy stocks like oil?
  12. 1) OK, I understand your point of view. 2) I believe there's room for both FWD and RWD because the present policy clearly shows that buyers still want both kinds of vehicles. While RWD may be reducing in numbers I believe there's real opportunity to foster niche performance and luxury versions on the Falcon Platform. Now while this wasn't possible during restructuring, I fully believe Ford will revisit a RWD platform for North America, if the Falcon is already available in Australia it should be used. Panther may go to its grave but that doesn't mean RWD has to finish. There's a lot of interesting stuff happening with the Aussie Falcon.
  13. Don't forget there's a new Aussie RWD/AWD Territory CUV due out next year, those mule shots could be part of FoA's crash test program. Not saying they are but keep an open mind on that one, remember what happened when a couple of Falcons were seen a few years ago. The cost of changing a D3 to RWD would most likely exceed the cost of doing a LHD Territory. Hopefully, Ford will come out with a plan for future police vehicles in the near future and put everyone in the picture.
  14. Sounds like Ford had another bumper month like they did last may (32,000 Focus and 18,000 Fusion) I can't wait to see the actual numbers, imagine what Ford do if they really grabbed the advertising and went berserk.......
  15. Part of the deal is that GM stays as a private company for the first 6 to 18 months, meaning that none of the stake holders can sell their stock in that time. I guess the government wants the new GM to build up steam so that the stock value is as high as possible before they float the company. It's actually a pretty smart idea, getting GM off the market's face for the next 12 months, a re emerging GM can be touted to the extreme and lots of investors will want back in.
  16. Are you questionong my comments regarding Falcon/Territory/Mustang able to be built down the one line? I mean to say that Ford's fractal construction methods different vehicles can now be assembled in the one plant provided there's space available for off line part storage and assembly.
  17. All you need to do is select the language (english) in the top right corner of the page. Here, I've done it for you: Ford Thailand in English
  18. Obama defending the government's decision to take a 72.5% stake in GM. Where are the traditional lenders, why don't they step forward now that the credit crunch is easing? The answer is GM is a friggin' $80 billion money pit that no one will touch with a ten foot barge pole and to do nothing is the government's worst nightmare for the community. I hope Americans get their cash back. Hopefully Ford stock double in price in the next couple of months allowing more debt bond swaps setting Ford up for their coming battle against the soon to be sanitized GM.
  19. I think confusion arises when people think the D3 Explorer is the same size as the Explorer concept.
  20. OK I'm an outsider and don't know the full extent of local politics on the matter. It's seems somewhere along the line that, tolerence and acceptance of gays was hijacked by activists on both sides polarizing the community to suit their own ends. Outside of extremists, mainstream straight and gay community members who make up the bulk of society are not out to change the world, they just want enough wiggle room for each to co exist and possibly a bit of legislation to make recognition of partners valid in the eyes of the law with regards planning a life (and death) for two. In truth, if we rub out all the extremism on both sides, what remains is achievable and equitable. I guess evolution of society is a hard thing to guide, you let loose new parameters and sometimes you get progress, other times you get division and turmoil. I just hope the changes envisioned don't create more problem than they solve.
  21. Of course it will, the whole shooting dice is going over to C2 for Kuga/Escape/Focus. Now whether a hybrid Focus is done depends on the market in the future. If gas prices spike again, Ford will be ready with all its products, not just the small ones.....
  22. This will give you an idea what a real turbo car sounds like Ford Falcon XR6 Turbo
