  1. I agree that the Mustang should get a dual exhaust setup option. The V6 Fusion has dual exhaust and it sound good with factory mufflers. Ford can do the same thing with the Mustang. They already have half the parts to make it happen. It doesn't need to have a loud sounding exhaust for the V6 duals. They may find that performance on the V6 and gas mileage would pick up just a little with the better flowing exhaust system. As to the comment with too options already, there are never too many options that you can put on a car. And you being a car dealer should know that already. It sounds like you don't like to strain your brain when ordering cars and trying to guess which options will sell a car on your lot that people want.
  2. The 05-06 did not have any jacks installed. There is an adapter that is made by PIE and available through Crutchfield. Just plug in your year, make, model and current radio the look for accessories and it will come up. Oh hell....here is the link. http://www.crutchfield.com/App/Product/Ite...AUX&tp=1672
  3. Thanks Viper.....keep up the great work. You don't know how much and how many people you help on a daily basis.
  4. I would like to get the date information for my GT500. The VIN is 1ZVHT88S185192216. Thanks for all your hard work.
  5. Thanks, I'll check that out and let you know what I decide.
  6. Thank you.....now to get busy on a CAI and tuner. Does anyone have any suggestions?
  7. I like that....I agree about scoop in front of the rear wheel. If the rear wheel well was blended onto the car better in the front part, it would be a hit.
  8. For the Fusion to be made into the coupe, you would want it as close to the orginal sedan as possible like the roof line, rear deck lid, rear lights etc. That would make more attractive to Ford to build it because there would be less research and engineering that would need to be done. You want as much of a cookie cutter solution as possible to make it more profitable. The Fusion coupe came up earlier but there were a few engineering guru's kept on knocking it down and said it would be too expensive for Ford to do this and that Ford is not in the position right now to take that chance. I figure if Nissan and Honda can do it to their cars, then why can't Ford do the same? Remember back in the 60's and 70's when they had several options on cars that you can buy? They all looked the same as base except for the number of doors. I am betting that if Ford does come up with a Fusion coupe, it may end up being one of their best sellers, I know I would buy one.
  9. My dealer ordered the 08 F-250 SD diesel back in February and it finally arrived. This is a loaded up Lariat. I stopped by the dealer this past Friday to talk to him and he just had to have me test drive it. When I got back to the dealer he said that I can have it over night and bring it back in the morning. I did not want to give this truck back. That is the smoothest, best handling, quietest truck I have been in. I'll be picking it up from them tomorrow afternoon. In the mean time, he wants me to take the Superchips tune off my old truck. That is not a problem for me since I can sell it. If anyone want a Superchips tuner with the standard 3 tunes for a 2003 7.3 diesel, let me know. I am not sure if you can use it on other years but I think you can.
  10. I just bought a 2008 Fusion with the 3.0 engine for my wife. I have been trying to look for a CAI for it and it looks like the choices are very limited. Steeds has one for over $400 but I don't want to pay that much for one. I was wondering if anyone else has bought one, how much they spent and what brand. Any help is appreciated.
  11. How can you compare the Fusion to the Mustang? These a 2 totally different cars. I don't think Mustang sales would be hurt much if any. I would bet that a Fusion coupe would boost sales up having a choice between 2 different versions of the same car. If the foreign car makers can make coupe and sedan versions, then why can't the American companies make one? I don't care if the roofline goes all the way back to the bumper or not, just give me a car with 2 doors that is bigger than a FUCUS. By the way, I already my 2 door muscle car and it is a Mustang GT and I love it.
  12. I love the look of the Fusion and I love the Mustangs. I own 2 Mustang GTs and I would love to own a Fusion as long as it's a coupe. Hiow can you guys sit there and compare the Fusion to the Mustang? They are 2 totally seperate cars. Mustang: Rear wheel drive Smallest engine 4.0 2 occupants comfortably Fusion: Front wheel drive Largest engine 3.5 4 occupants comfortably Yes I remember when they made all different versions of the same car back in the 60's and 70's. I always hated the 4 door cars and haven't owned one since my 67 Ford LTD. I don't like the seat belt position in a 4 door car. You can't look over your shoulder without looking at the pillar. I like the rendering of those Fusions. I can't imagine it would cost that much to produce this car. Advertising, not mcu at all. All you have to do is just add it to the existing advertising. Just add a picture of the 2 door version and add a statement saying now available in a 2 door coupe. If Ford would have got up off their butts when they designed the Fusion to make a 4 door and 2 door version, we would of had it on the road along with the 4 door. People want some flexibility with their cars and not a dictator of what we get. That is what Detroit is doing to us and that is why more and more people are jumping ship to imports. If they did produce the 2 door version, I would bet sales of the Fusion would climb 8-10 percent overall. People who buy the Fusion right now wants a 4 door car but there are some who bought the 4 door wishes they had 2 doors. Why can't people see a small gold mine when it slaps them up the side of their heads? The only other car Ford puts out that has 2 doors is the Focus and that my friends is a bit too small for my big a$$.
  13. Thanks for the info, let us know if there are any changes. I wonder what those HID's are going to look like?
  14. What color is that Vapor supposed to be like?
  15. Does anyone know what changes are going to be for the 2008 Mustang? Will there be any new colors or options? Did they take anything away?
  16. Here is a link to some really nice pictures. http://www.leftlanenews.com/2006/09/28/200...-450/#more-4129
  17. As we all know, history seems to repeat itself especially in style. Maybe they should bring those 2 and 4 door models back. As we all know, the running boards have been back on SUV's and pickups. Look at Chevy, they offer the Impala that is 4 door but they repackaged it into a 2 door and called it a Monte Carlo. So why can't Ford do that to the Fusion and call it Fision?
  18. I was going to say that. There are some youger couples that don't have kids right now and some older ones that the kids have left the nest and would like a larger car than the Mustang or Focus and it would need to be sporty. I think the Fusion fits that bill perfectly. Back in the 60's and 70's, manufacturers were making 2 and 4 door versions of almost everything that came out. The 2 door versions were a little sportier than the 4 door versions. I know it takes more resources and money to make something like this but it can be done. I think Ford would win alot more customers if they had a little better choice in the configurations of their cars. I would not buy a Fusion or any other car that comes with 4 doors. I hate driving 4 door cars because the seat belt usually doesn't rest right with me plus I hate looking at the pillar when I am preparing to pass someone. That is why my choice of car is the Mustang GT.
  19. I have seen that link before but it doesn't breakdown the models and how many were built for the model year. Last year someone posted a spreadsheet of that information and I was curious if anyone had that same information this year.
  20. It looks like they are getting ready for the future Tonka truck. The exterior has not really changed that much. It just looks like they are changing the way it looks from the front. I like the idea of the headlights being lower. It makes pulling up behind someone a little more appreciative since they won't be as blinded. The rest looks virtually unchanged at all. Don't know what the interior looks like. I am sure the new 6.4 diesel will an improvement over the 6.0 diesel. My friend has a 6.0 and he let me drive it. I have a 7.3 in my 03. The 6.0 has more higher end torque than the 7.3 and is much quieter and smoother. I hope the new 6.4 has more even torque throughout the power band then the 6.0.
  21. Does anyone know the final production number for the 06MY? I remeber it was posted last year and I haven't seen any for this year yet.
  22. I think SWF is loosing alot of sleep trying to defend himself to all of us. Look at the time of his post, they are mainly in the early AM. If Dr. K is only en elctrician, how did he get permissions to all those different applications to get those status reports for everyone? I guess Ford's IT security is not doing their job. I think Mr. K should be transfered to the Ford Customer Support Center and take a look at how they operate. Once he looks into that, then come up with solutions. The Customer Support Center should be able to access the status of any given vehicle at any given time in todays world of technology, Instead they are are relying on old information that is produced once a week. This is what dealers are seeing and why dealers and unable to give precise information to their customers. I had better and more reliable information from Dr. K than my dealer and my dealer is a very good friend of mine who would not lead to any wrong information without checking it out himself. Sure it's a small dealer but his resources are as limited as the larger dealers. Why doesn't Ford give them access to this same information? As for Dr. K being an electrician, what do they do when things are running good and don't need to be fixed? Are they sitting at a table drinking coffee and BSing with fellow workers? I don't really think Dr. K was letting down any of his co-workers. I truely think he was doing most of his research and posting on lunch hours, breaks or on his own time. It would be very hard to believe that if someone was letting down their co-worker for this long of a period of time without being reprimanded. I think someone who is a piss-ant in the company wanted to make this a polical game out this and it is working. Well Mr. Piss-Ant, I hope you are happy at the shit you stirred up and I hope your tenior with Ford ceases tomorrow. I have been a dedicated Ford person since 86 and have bought many cars and trucks. I am doing my part to help keep Ford in business but I can only do so much. Then why can't Ford do as much for their customers as their customers have done for them?
  23. Here is a picture of mine: Here is a picture of my other one: Yes I have a pair.
