  1. If they made 12,000 more Shelby's, that would take away the greedy dealers reason to charge $15,000-20,000 over the MSRP! We cannot have that, happy customers and unhappy dealers,,,,that is not the Ford way.
  2. :bandance: What a bunch of idiots to pay like $20,000 over sticker. That means you are leaving the lot like $25,000 in the hole with negative equity. Hope you like the car, you will have to keep it for like 30 years to actually make some money back on it if you ever sell it. Reminds me of an old Nirvana song "RAPE ME, GO AHEAD AND RAPE ME!" Kurt Kobain must have been a fan of Shelby's! Later suckers
  3. I agree with a lot of what you say up until this point. The idiots paying 20K over sticker are hurting people, people like me who will not pay over the sticker. That is what pissed me off when the GT '05 came out and I actually saw $15k over that sticker price when I was travelling through Pittsburgh. What did that do, make the '05 unavailable for the massese who want it without getting raped. That dealer thing pisses me off a lot, and I do have a memory, and will not go back to those jerks who were realling gouging. The honest dealer who sold the '05 at sticker price, or even X-plan price, are going to get my business. Just my 2 cents, later. Ford is not pricing the car out of your means, the dealers are by their f'ing greed. Man that pisses me off. I hope they all go bankrupt. Duh , retards, customers could be loyal if you cut them a good deal instead of raping my ass so hard it bleeds. Jerkoffs
  4. I have heard if you have the "active" anti-theft system, it may drain the battery down if you don't run the car enough, and yes, once every 2 weeks is not enough. If you have that option, I bet that would be the cause, since they already hooked the car up and found no problems. Later
  5. That is comical that they don't trust their own employees to deliver the cars to the dealer with out hotrodding it. Funny. Do they think that a trucker will be stopped at a rest area, download the car, and peel out in the rest area ?? Maybe a little over cautious by Ford. I wonder if they do that for Corvette's also? I also wonder what was discussed that you cannot talk about (price :bandance: ?). Later,
  6. Thanks for the birthday wishes. I am so looking forward to getting my '07 GT manual so I can be back in the club , later.
  7. Happy Birthday Mustang, by the way, we share the same birthday, only you are 11 years older than me! Later :beerchug:
  8. I had the same problem on my '05 Expy with the door noise. I did indeed find it to be the weather stripping, and it went away with car wash/rain. I fixed it by putting some vaseline on the very inside piece of weather stripping at the top of the door. It took me a while to isolate which one was making the noise, which seemed like a rattle/squeeky noise at first. I got it, and over 6 months with no more noises. I just pulled the weather stripping out and rubbed some vaseline on the inside of the roof track where it runs. No more noises!!!! I got rid of the skittle at nearly the same time. That was a rolling noise that at first I thought was surly a loose bolt or something in the dash. Now it is quiet like brand new, just have to take it in to have the dealer look at the seats now. Seems like 2 part of the second row, and the driver's side are cracking in the leather. Very strange indeed for real leather which I put leather protectant on frequently, trust me I am anal about cleanliness, and conditioning the leather. I hope they don't try to say I did something, I am not fat (180lb) and there is no reason for the leather to be cracking. By the way, I would recommend sylicone over armor all, seems like it would last a little longer on your dash rattle.
  9. You gotta be kidding me????? This is going to be a Hertz rental car piece of junk? What a shame. Well, I guess they would not want to take away the dealer's excuse for gouging by making a mustang between the GT and GT500. Hope they change their minds.
  10. I agree with you man. Let the rich assholes get screwed. Ford dealers must think there are a lot of baby boomers and older with money to burn today????? I loved seeing brand new '05GT sitting on the lots of dealers who were gouging, yes gouging, that is what it is called people, get a clue. I have never paid more than the sticker price for a car, and will not start now. I like the car, but do agree it should not be priced so high. It is starting to get in the corvette range, and it is no corvette. The interior is too cheap for that. Corvettes do not have to supercharge an engine to make power either. I am willing to wait and either get a regular mustang gt or see how the shelby market is next year. I surely will not pay over $40,000 for a GT500 though.
  11. I like it  The color seems like black to me though. Maybe seeing it in the sun would help the alloy effect. But, on a positive note, I would go for the solid color with just the one stripe at the bottom, rather than all the hood and tail striping that looks cheap to me. Too bad I will never get to have one of those with all the a hole gouging dealers out there  .
  12. Why don't they paint them on the cars? I know there was some dealerships doing this for the GT mustangs when the new one came out in '05. I just think it looks so much classier. I would be willing to bet it will hold up better than the tape also, just my two cents.
  13. Just wanted to ask anyone if they have any information. It is hard for me to believe, with the auto show in NY only a couple of weeks away, we have not heard any rumors. I guess I would be pretty interested in this model, if it would come out. It would be even better if they would take that tacky Shelby name off the back. That would be my first thing to do, especially if it was a sticker, goodbye tacky. Maybe I would put some cobra emblems on the car and revive the SVT Cobra. That would be nice.
  14. agreed, what a piece of crap, like I said before, I could make a better SE in my garage from aftermarket parts, later
  15. Don't count out Michigan State, they had a strong start last year, then collapsed. They were in the games down to the end with U of M and Ohio State. I cannot remember the outcome of Penn State-MSU, but Penn State must have won. Just watch, we could suprise this year in the Big Ten (eleven).
  16. Wow, Robert, since I have a snowball's chance in hell of getting a GT500, maybe I should hold off on the '07 GT, and try to get a GT350, if that is indeed the model to come out in April at the New York Auto show. I thought they were hinting at a Boss model, but a GT350 would be nice, and more in my price range. I guess we could expect about 425hp, if it is supercharged like the last generation cobra 4.6L engine with some slight improvements from the factory? Any speculation on if it would come out as a late '07 model, or as an '08 model, just speculation I know, but you know more about this stuff than most of us.
  17. Hey, thanks for the info, I will check them out, cannot wait to get my '07 and put some blingy wheels and tires on it. Later
  18. If they still have an '05 Gt left, that is a clear sign that they were holding out for a rape charge on the car. It is already a year old now, that is real good for the engine and tranny to sit for a year. I would like to see the kelly blue book on the car, I bet it is a lot lower than they are still asking for an '05, they must be gougers.
  19. Sounds like your car came in and they are trying to rape some else with it. Another example of dealer greed. Look in the mustang thread, it is an on-going topic. I am with you, I will not pay over MSRP, and would prefer X plan also. I am hoping on the '07 model GT when it is available to get it with the new options at price. I will not pay over. The guy who pays the rape charges might as well be screwing us in the ass as well, because the dealer will never end their greed. I feel for you, it is a bad situation that Ford should involve themselves in. Sorry man.
  20. agreed man, I for one am not willing to bend over for the dealers. I laugh at anyone who paid $15,000 over for a Mustang GT. What a joke, those are the people messing it up for everyone. If people could just wait it out for a month or two and make the dealers sweat, the ADM would disappear. No, I have to be the first one on the block to have a mustang or shelby,,,,,,not me,,,,I waited 2 years, and will probably get an '07 GT now, at sticker price as well, if not better. (X-plan ????)
  21. Man, that is a sore topic with me also, what is the deal with gas prices. The big execs have been in congress twice lately that I know of explaining why they have the highest profit margins the last few quarters ever. Is that all we have in America, greedy corporations to suck the middle class dry? All of the oil companies had profits in the billions, with exxon-mobil at the top with around 10biiiiiillion dollars in profit. I am willing to bet there are a lot more companies like Enron operating right now, just have not been busted yet. We are supposed to the world's example of a great democracy, we have major problems with corruption. It even goes down to the auto dealerships. In these times of hardships by GM and Ford, they rape people, it is a shame, and bad for America.
  22. I will answer all of your questions evil one since you seem so interested in me. First of all, if I bother you so much, stop reading all my posts. It is a free country right. The thing about Carroll (girl's name) that bothers me is that his name on the car is making it cost so much more according to the knowledge of my fellow mustang fans. So, that is what irritates me. Since you read all my posts because you are so interested in me, you will note that I did not even get my drivers license permit until 1990. So, I don't care about Shelby being so cool in the world like 60 years ago. To answer another question of yours, I was not saying the 3.8L is the only way to go, I was referencing the Manual transmission. I even cleared this up yesterday before you even posted that response, because I thought retards might think I like the V-6 better than the V-8, which is not true. I even posted on the '07 that I want to buy that a 6 speed manual would be nice. Stop trying to knit pick everything I am trying to say and do, you are like an old girlfriend that I kicked to the curb long ago. I never claimed to be a gear head, but I have re-built an engine or two in my day, so I am decent. The car is in my segment of interest, and I would purchase the thing if it were at the $39,000 price tag that was mentioned before. I will not spend over $40,000 though, let the fools have it for the rape price. I sure liked it better when you kept your mouth shut, I am free to my opinion, and I think they are doing the whole thing wrong with the GT500, just like the '05 when it first came out late and overpriced. Later p.s. just for you evil one, I even made my signature more easy to understand, even monkeys could get it now, see, I like manual V-8' GT's.....Are you clear now.
  23. Speaking of monkeys, you forgot to mention one thing that so many people seem to be so in awe over, its got SHELBY :boring: :happy feet:  nameplate on it, that makes it worth at least $60,000, right
  24. Hey, thanks for the link. I can imagine that the '07 GT will be close to the same mark-up. It doesn't really say how much the car costs to Ford though. I just wonder how much the car was, since it is marked up by Ford to the dealer, and by the dealer to the customer? Anyway, if they sell the car at MSRP, the dealer already makes $3,000, what about Ford? That is really eye opening. I kid you not, I saw $10,000-$15,000 mark-up on the '05 GT around the country when it came out. What crap. I believe it has been suggested before, but I wonder why Ford isn't allowed to just sell directly to consumers. They could just have service departments in certain regions to service their cars instead of dealerships. Hey, let people in California or New York go through dealerships if they want, everything is more expensive there anyway, they would be used to it. Man, I live so close to where they make the damn thing, it would be so nice to just go to a lot to pick up my car, instead of experiencing the whole dreaded dealer experience. I can actually say when I bought my Expedition from Jerome-Duncan in Troy/Sterling Heights area(Michigan), that was actually a nice experience. They have a very nice dealership with a coffee shop inside by the Saleen mustangs on the floor. They actually let my wife and I take it home overnight while we decided on it for sure, even with no money down at that point. They did have our Tahoe sitting there for collateral, but we could have just drove off somewhere and taken it if we were evil. Of course, I have not had to deal with the service department yet, so the jury is still out. With the internet becoming a large shopping ground these days, you would think Ford could have a link on their web site for a "buy now" option. I could avoid the $700 delivery charge since I live only 2 hours away from there for one thing. Shouldn't we have the choice to go through Ford directly. You know what, maybe the MSRP will be lower then. Maybe I would only have to pay $1000 or $2000 over the dealer cost. Ford still makes more money than they would have if it went through the dealer pockets. I guess it would be worth a try, then people would not be able to bitch about dealers anymore!
  25. There is a lightning down the road from me (and a COBRA  for that matter). Nice looking truck man. I was looking forward to seeing the next generation Lightning, and the next generation COBRA too. Not the one with that Shelby tag, but the SVT Cobra. Guess you share my thoughts about Ford for killing SVT. What a bummer. I so regret not buying the '04 SVT Cobra. I think they looked very nice, on the outside anyway. That interior was due for a huge refresh. I could have lived with it though. Whatever happend to Hui-tang (I know I am killing your name sorry) the creater of the SN197 styly of mustang. I thought he was going to be the new leader of SVT? Has he left Ford? What is going on Ford?
