  1. The problem with Mitsubishi’s design is its handle bar mustache look with lights all over the place. IMO it’s horrible design work, and again, why can’t Mitsubishi just go away.
  2. I know, I was being facetious.
  3. That is not a compliment!
  4. I get it when the brands are completely combined at a dealership and you are trying to create a brand separation, identity, and experience, but it’s hard to understand context when you don’t know anything about the dealerships in question. But I don’t understand trying to shutter dealerships in smaller areas where you effectively restrict access to your product because of geographic location. Nobody wants to work with a dealership that is two hours away. Hard to sell products you don’t have. A medium sized Lincoln dealership near me rarely had any Lincoln stock this past year. It doesn’t help there are only four products to sell, one of which was going to be discontinued, and two that are pretty long in the tooth. Doesn’t necessarily create an ideal sales environment.
  5. It sure feels like Lincoln is being poorly managed again, which is holding it back. I sure hope they don’t allow the positive product/sales momentum they have experienced to be ruined by stale products and lack of models and commitment.
  6. I can’t disagree with them. Not a fan of the styling. It seems to be trying to be different just for the sake of being different.
  7. It was a Motor1 article. I misspoke and should have read it more clearly. The CT 5 was actually their global sales leader, primarily because of China, not the leader in the US.
  8. Weird behavior.
  9. It’s too bad they didn’t have a hybrid version of the MME, as I think it would sell quite well. I’ve had quite a few compliments on my MME regarding its style, more so than the fact it’s a BEV. It is a nice vehicle, aside from its range limitations, which could have been solved by a hybrid powertrain.
  10. I think this is a good looking Caddy. A friend of mine just bought a non V model and seems to like it. I read recently it is their best selling vehicle, which I found interesting.
  11. I personally am not a fan of the rounded boxy styling of the current Grand Cherokee and Wagoneer. They look like they are trying to bridge the boxy and round styles and it just doesn’t resonate with me, when compared to previous Jeep styling.
  12. It’s funny, because everything that you complained about regarding the sixth generation model is why I like it better than the fifth generation, and I’ve owned both. To me the current model is much better than the previous and feels more upscale. There are certainly some things that could be better, but they aren’t substantial to me.
  13. I’m a little uncertain about the grill on this MME. I would have to see it in person, but bronze has become pretty popular in the aftermarket. My son talked me into bronze on my current truck instead of my usual black, and I have to say I like it quite a bit. I tried to attach a pic, but the upload kept failing.
  14. While I’m not happy about this either, the other manufacturers are no angels, such as Ram's pending diesel emissions issue, or GM’s incorrect trailering information. You don’t have to dig very hard to find other issues.
  15. Nope, got it for my 2022 Lariat I traded in. In the end, it really would have a little effect on actual usage, but their solution is bullshit and really was false advertising. The value they should be returning to the customer should be the cost it would take to extract 15 more horsepower out of the motor, because that’s what people thought they bought.
  16. Are you suggesting our government needs to do more for us outside of obvious public necessities such as roads, public safety, national defense, etc?
  17. Well I don’t own it but it does suck to not be able to charge at home. That’s how I have to handle my work MME, and it’s not an ideal situation in cold climates. How I have to handle the vehicle is basically how someone would have to handle theirs if they were living in a multi-unit building without available charging. Charging becomes a tiresome task and has required more frequent charging if you drive any distance of significance in this cold weather. After a recent full charge when the temp was -4, the range was reduced to 109 miles, less than half of its max range of 270 miles. I also have a problem with the cabin not sufficiently heating to what I would call a comfortable level for shorter trips. The footwell specifically is a particular problem, which seems to be compounded by a cool breeze originating from somewhere under the drivers seat. That is something I’m going to have to discuss with the dealer, but I haven’t observed any obvious issues under there. I will say that it has handled the snow and ice pretty well from the driving perspective, so that’s nice.
  18. Wow, the tax payer carried a lot of burden on their programs. That’s awful.
  19. It would also need to be all wheel drive capable for the cold weather states to be interested.
  20. Im sorry to hear that about your Dad. Hopefully you can repair that relationship at some point.
  21. I thought this was interesting and indicative of the current BEV situation. If this was offered for sale when it originally came out, it certainly would have sold for well over sticker. This one sold for just under the sticker of $106,290, however, with the buyers premium it is technically over sticker. I wouldn’t have expected the demand for an high end BEV like this to fall off so quickly. In contrast, a used 2023 Raptor R sold for $127k during this same timeframe.
  22. If only Ford could manage to build enough of them. Their production woes continue and it feels more so than other manufacturers.
  23. sorry for multiple posts. The forum wouldn’t allow multiple quotes for me today for some reason. God forbid! Something like that would be pretty sweet. Im just not sure how I feel about calling it a Mustang.
