  1. I do think they need a bigger rugged affordable SUV. When we replaced our totaled Escape, my daughter had the option for a BS and she chose the Escape because of the poor rear seat legroom. It was also nice that the 23 Escape was noticeably nicer than the outgoing model. I also don’t think the a Mav SUV would cannibalize BS sales due to the size differentiation.
  2. I’ve been in both, and there is a noticeable difference to me between a navigator and a platinum expedition.
  3. We have a 23 model and I didn’t see it as an option at that time, although when we got it I wasn’t aware they had removed it, so didn’t search it out.
  4. Price is certainly a factor on most everything nowadays. Late in 2022, we were considering getting a Bronco Wildtrak, but didn’t pull the trigger at that time. Its sticker was around $60,000. Now we are no longer considering buying a Bronco as a primary driver, because we just aren’t seeing the value anymore. That same Wildtrak is now $68,335. That $8k isn’t getting you anything more. There are a lot of good options out there for $70k. If we ever get a Bronco now it will likely be a cheaper used model or perhaps new lower end model, and it will be used as a 3rd vehicle.
  5. I’ve been wondering for a while why the Evos isn’t available here. I think it’s pretty sharp. I think the Chinese Edge would need some styling adjustments to make it successful here. Ford needs more products to sell.
  6. I personally am not a fan of the current Jeep styling, with the exception of the Wrangler. Perhaps that’s a contributing factor.
  7. Is this an acknowledgment that people still want this option? Ford is so shortsighted, and loves to nickel and dime their customers.
  8. It’s funny how Hyundai manages to build multiple similar vehicles, which most likely would be considered commodities, yet still manages to make a profit. I personally wouldn’t consider the Edge a commodity, as its price point is not consistent with cheap vehicles. What are they going to do when they start building these two EVs and only a few people are interested in buying them? I think Ford is in a precarious situation with the potential to not have enough of the right types of vehicles to sell. The next year is going to be interesting to see how this situation evolves.
  9. With the highly volatile pricing structure of the lightning, plus questionable resale value, the lightning is not something I would be willing to invest in anytime soon. Plus the fact that the range is not sufficient considering my MachE with a max range of 270 miles, only reflects 200 miles of estimated range on a full charge now that it has gotten cold, and in reality is only getting about 150 miles of actual usage.
  10. This is why it pisses me off that they have been removing them. I hope they will reconsider this trend as well.
  11. I’ll have to look at the layout and get back to you. I forgot what was available on the main screen since I don’t drive often. I personally don’t like touch screens for certain things.
  12. I hope the trend for removing physical climate controls reverses. They did this to the 2023 escape and it really wasn’t necessary. The only benefactor from this action is Ford.
  13. Yep, we regularly use the keypads on all of vehicles, so imagine my surprise when it was missing from the 2023 Escape we picked up. This is nothing more than Ford decontenting, and charging more for less. It is very frustrating to say the least.
  14. Whoa, where did your gentleman's demeanor go, lol. You routinely make statements as if they are fact, so why are you surprised when you get your pee pee slapped?
  15. Was this a friendly reminder of things we won’t be getting here? I’m having difficulty understanding why they will be providing a better version of an American nameplate to Chinese and not the Americans.
  16. That is really disappointing to hear. I would put the blame solely on Ford for incidents like this. From not sufficiently providing enough or new product to sell, to these EV mandates that cost a substantial amount of money. It makes me think it’s intentional to cull the number of dealers.
  17. These are nice vehicles and the updates look good. It’s not surprising why they sell so many. Hopefully the new Expedition will be a worthy competitor.
  18. Regardless, I don’t think your air dam is that big. And I thought the one they put on my old Superduty was big.
  19. I don’t disagree. It’s really bizarre they are hamstringing their own new model without adding that third shift. It’s clear they couldn’t sufficiently meet demand for the Bronco without sacrificing substantial Ranger production.
  20. I think a 6 foot bed for the Ranger is important, and makes the truck more useful. If they don’t offer it, I think they’re just being present in the market and are not attempting to challenge for the lead.
  21. Im running a MachE in 22 degree weather this week for the first time, with heavy wind so it will be interesting to see what the range loss is. And I’m not turning down the heat to gain range…
  22. Has anyone seen any recent news on the 2025 Expedition release date? My Nephew needs to replace their Explorer soon, and wants the updated model. He’s trying to understand how long he might have to wait in order to aid in the decision making.
  23. So far it doesn’t appear that Ford’s customer base is onboard with Bob yet.
