  1. Hate to say it, but that looks pretty good. I'd say it will be a big seller. If Pontiac made it, Ford would have to import the Falcon XR6 Ute from Australia. http://www.ford.com.au/servlet/ContentServ...4&c=DFYPage
  2. According to consumer reports, you really only need an extended warranty if you buy something that is poorly rated. Ever wonder why some manufacture (Hyundai I think) offers a 10 year/100,000 mile warranty and Ford doesn't? Besides the fact that manufactures make a ton of Money from extended warranty's.
  3. Correct me if I'm wrong, but didn't Mazda have a kid watching a car scream around curves. I think he was saying ZOOM ZOOM.
  4. I saw the symbol, so I didn't try clicking on it. I'll try this next time I'm there.
  5. I was playing around on L/M site building a Sable. Lo and behold, it would not let me add a navigation unit. Do they not offer it for the Sable? Thanks,
  6. I wouldn't mind seeing a "new" KING COBRA. Don't know why, but I kinda like that body style of 74 thru 78's
  7. This may help, may not, but I just went through the same thing with our '01 Sable. Right rear door would work part time. I thought it was going to be an actuator change, but turned out to be a simple fix. I just cleaned the linkage inside the door, and sprayed it with silicon. Been working for 2 weeks now.
  8. Yea, I'll get my 1,200 plus 300 for the one kid that's still young enough. But, I wonder how much the state of Oklahoma will want for income tax. I don't think I'll spend it liek the way Bush wants us to spend it. Most likely it will just sit in the bank.
  9. I had one of these turbo charged back in '79. It was faster than the girl friends 305 powered camaro until 50mph or so. It would keep up with a 302 powered T-bird to the same 50mph. Deep down, I'm sort of sorry I got rid of it.
  10. After much searching, I was able to find what I needed. Found some, going to put them on my '69. Don't have to drill holes to mount them. Thanks
  11. Hello, I;m looking for he part number for rear bumper guards fora '71 Thunderbird. I'm thinking it's D1SZ 17984 A. Thanks for any help.
  12. Talk about a hair raising experience!!!! Lucky that nobody got hurt.
  13. We bought a '06 Charger for my wife. She just loves it, won't take it anywhere that might cause a door ding. We use the Sable for running to Walmart and such. The Charger sure does have an aggressive looking front end, plus a lot of interior room!! If Mercury could come out with something to compete with it, I'd sure be looking hard at it.
  14. Most likely would be cheaper ti get a portable Garmin or Tom-Tom.
  15. I think it's still one ugly car. Ford and Dodge hit the nail on the head with the Mustang and Challenger. Maybe chevy's designers should have taken notice.
  16. Somebody must be liking those prius's. I'm seeing more and more of them here in the Tulsa area. however, they always seem to be driving about 5-10 miles under the speed limit. Give me the comfort of my '69 T-Bird or our '06 Charger any day.
  17. Personally, I don't care for the front or the powe window switches. Other than those, I like it.
  18. My very first vehicle was a '69 Fordor Thunderbird. Bought it in high school. Sold it and bought a '79 Turbo Mustang. Wish I still had that one, as I don't see them anymore.
  19. How would it work if Ford was left to build trucks, sport cars and economy cars, Mercury was left to build intermediate cars such as the sable and a new Cougar, and Lincoln was left to build the Luxury cars? Maybe there would be more choices to pick from instead of 1 or 2 cars that are the same except for the grill and a few other minor changes. Last year my parents went to buy a new Lincoln. There was nothing there that jumped out and said BUY ME. The salesman showed them the Montego, and that's what they went home with.
  20. Did you notice if the front end was damaged at all? I had tht happen to me once. Of course it was just after an accident, and I was trying to get the car home.
  21. I like what you are doing with the Thunderbird. Does anyone know if a "new" Thunderbird is even in the works? Or is Ford to low on money to even think about one. How will the new gas milage laws affect it.
  22. Drove past the Atlnta plant (home of the Taurus/Sable) on 75 last week. It looked old, run down and abanded. I was just wondering if this is one of the plants that closed, and what future plans for it are.
  23. Of Course it will have to have SEQUENTIAL TURN SIGNALS If Ford did a retro one, it could do just as well as the Mustang.
  24. Usually it's the other way around. The drunk/stoned guy walks away with just a scratch, while the sober person dies or ends up in the hospital for a year. I like the light bar on the Shelby's. If they were made to be a real roll bar, then everyone would benefit.
