I really like the Focus but would love to have one in a diesel, manual trans. I drove one in the UK 7 months ago & the mileage was awesome. As for the Mustang, it looks too much like a Dodge Charger to me , not been able to get past that to even take a look at anything else. . I prefer the 67 Mustang my dear ole Dad (ford retiree) restored for me as a present for my Grad.

Wow, I guess since you can't complain about the contract anymore, you've decided to insult & paint with the broadest brush every ford hourly worker. You are not aquainted with the majority of the hourly workforce at Ford Motor Company & yet, you look for just about anything to talk loads of BS about people you don't f%$#*ing know. I cannot begin to understand how the MODS allow this constant defaming of a whole group of people. You're talking about my family & friends, who are huge Ford enthusiasts & don't have to come to BON to talk about Ford. They talk Ford at home & work everyday, it's a part of their EVERYDAY life! You're a Ford enthusiast ? Great & I thank you for your purchase & support for the company who helps to provide for my family but you demean yourself & insult me & my own when you talk in ignorance about the people you don't know.

I was very young when the last strike happened. My Dad worked at Michigan Truck & I remember the worry in my mom's eyes & her having to srape up some change to buy milk. I'll never forget that feeling & how stressed my Dad was. Here's hoping it does'nt come to a strike or I fear there is going to alot of kids with similar memories & fears to mine. Alot of people don't have enough money saved to get them through a stike & although that was a stupid mistake on their part, I'd hate to see the kids scared & worried.

On the UAW Ford Facebook page it was stated that there is a court date to deal with the grievance at the end of the month.

I think alot of the membership are not exactly thrilled with Bob King's actions as well LOL He did'nt recieve a very warm welcome the last time he was at a few of our local assembly plants.

A strike vote is routine, it happens every 4 years. So why such a fuss & insults? The UAW has not had a strike at Ford since 1976 & the relationship between the Union & Company are actually pretty good. Both side do their press game during contract time. There is'nt going to be a strike even if there were to be some big problems between both sides, everyone knows what's at stake. I guess I'm just used to the every 4 year game. My whole life has been connected to it. ::shrug::: It does get upsetting to see people insult UAW members though, as my family is 4 generations deep in Ford Motor Company. My Great Grandpa,my grandpa,my Dad & my hubby are good hard working men who love Ford Motor Company & the UAW. It goes deeper than that for my family, Henry Ford was a childhood friend of my great grandpa, he test drove the model T on the road that ran through our family land. Alot of the workers have Ford Motor Company running through their veins. There may be some loud mouthed asses in the UAW but that is problem in every walk of life. I've certainly seen evidence of that on this forum. LOL It's truly disheartening to know that there are people out there who hate my family because we're UAW. We're good people & damn well don't deserve the insults or disdain. Debating does'nt have to be insulting or does it?

My brother works for one of the companies that helps retools the factories & they had gone to KCAP to work on a bid &it was for the full size Transit. Not sure if it is that but they were at least looking at the possibility...

The employee site to check your paystubs online. at.ford,com. Check is already made out & states it will be direct deposited in the 31st.

Weirdness... The 8 hour holiday pay is scheduled to be paid on the 31st on the website.

Check your online paystub, you will get that check on friday.
