  1. These clowns are idiots just ignore them. You know they got plastic surgery to fix ugly but they haven't figured out how to fix stupid yet. If they do find a way to fix stupid I bet ford will allow the procedure with no deductible! Its a good contract don't worry their wives will tell them they better vote for it. Usually the big mouths like that don't even run their own household.
  2. Check this out!! http://www.limaohio.com/news/ford_33528___...ngine_unoh.html
  3. Your local Union should have that info. I was just curious of the hourly to salaried ratio in the plants. A rule of thumb is there should be 20 salary for every 100 hourly employees.
  4. I would like to know what the number of salaried and hourly employees at your plant.
  5. You guys and gals should all suck Cock. Your chairman is a Hero and y'all re-elected him. Shut the Fuck up and get to work. I guess only the whiner's in Lima are computer literate. Suck it up and be happy you have work. The International UAW wouldn't take away Lima's shining star chairman. They are waiting on the next young American idol to come from the underground and lead them into the next decade. Gas is only $4.00 a gallon how long do you think it will be before we are all riding bikes like a third world nation. NAFTA works it brings us down to a third world pay grade. Free trade means lower wages. yes we will catch up to the Mexicans. Hey at least the Canadian government looks out for their workers.
  6. What a idiot you read to much into the bullshit contract letters they all have a easy-out loophole based on volume and market share. Anyone with any brains should know that Cleveland got its turn sending a person to national negotiations. Any national negotiator gets a special letter so they can go back to their local and tell them what a great job they did in negotiations. Guess who's turn it is next contract??? Ford will do whatever is in their best interest in North America. And as long as the work stays in the States the UAW will not bitch who gets the work between Cleveland and Lima. It will all be based on productivity and cost. Try and file a grievance on a letter of understanding. To the lazy whiners in (lepskilledtrades) skilled trades get real it is time to step up and secure all jobs for UAW members (including production Jobs), so don't think you are going to set your lazy ass in a break room waiting for something to brake. Get out on the floor and do your fair share you are not better than any other person in this society we live in. We all put our pants on the same way. Do what ever it takes to be productive and make your local management accountable for their shitty decision's and mistakes.
  7. Lets see laggard, 20+ years before Ford that must make you in your late 50s or 60s unless you have no seniority at Ford then you might be in your late 40s with maybe 5 or 6 years seniority maybe less. What did you do, hit the Ford hiring lottery or are you a salary or Union reps relative. A pussy like you would never be able to be a boss on any work site. No real blue collar worker would have any respect for your lazy ass. I bet you are a lazy lamb can you say Baa Baaa follow the herd asshole. I can tell by your grammar and use of words that you are not near as educated as you claim to be. I'm sure you were somebody's bitch on the job site, if you even did work construction. I know the trades are blue collared workers and we are proud of our skills and work ethic. You are a lazy whiner, go away. Look at how many posts you have compared to me and tell me who spends all their time on the computer dip shit.
  8. " I can't died in the Poor house" Is that you?? Is your name Ican't??? Moron's, you lazy fucks couldn't find your ass with both hands. I'm embarrassed to be in the same union with Fucks like you. Although it is fun to watch a bunch of lazy assholes sit around on a computer sit and bitch about how bad they have it making $32.00 an hour with world class benefits. I bet all of the whiners on this forum couldn't hold a candle to a real blue collar worker (their job is about pride and true skill). You should be ashamed of yourselves. How long have you been a journeyman lepskilled trades?? Have you worked anywhere other than Ford?? I hope I get your lazy ass out on a construction site someday. Your lazy ass would be back at the hall signing the book so fast your head would spin. The lazy assholes are always signing the book. Real workers hate laggards. You are a insult to the real blue collar workers of the world. I love the Unions and all of the workers in it. But I am so tired of whiny crybabies that cannot hold a real workers tool-belt. What do you think you are entitled to?? What knowledge do you posses that others that have come before you didn't know?? Absolutely nothing I am sure. I work hard and am proud of it no matter the job given to me. I am proud to work with other people that love to do a great job and take pride in it. A very smart woman once said " I can't died in the Poor house" ask yourself is that you?? Put up a wall and I will knock it down. If the Economy collapsed right now you would not be able to support your family, survival of the fittest would prevail and you would be laying on a slab. I bet you have never even had the balls to leave your own state much less the country. I am very upset at the concessions we have had to give, but guess what I adapt and overcome and pack it right back up the stupid mis-management (salary) peoples asses. I am important to them because I have skills and I try to do the best job I can no matter what. Can you say that?????
  9. What work is Ford bringing in contractors to do that skilled trades are losing work on in your plant??? Skilled Trades are already doing the tear out of the old V-6 when that is done what are they going to do with all those people?? I hope they dont get their two transfer offers real quick after entering protected status. Production people I hope they realize that we cant wait in cleveland for you to turn down your local agreement. Fill us up we will take all the D35 work. Hopefully you can transfer here instead of a Body and Assembly where plant they do alot of physical work each day. Ask some of the old timers that worked in them during the 80s. Oh ya Im starting to feel the Love.
  10. Get real their is so much space (Loopholes) in the language in the National Contract to let Ford do what ever they see fit with all employees including the so called prima donna skilled trades. I can tell that you never had to argue contract or a grievence. If you dont like the contract you can go bend conduit and pull wires for the IBEW or a non Union shop for less money. Go ahead and turn down a local agreement, International will not authorize a strike and you will work under the old agreement and watch your machinery get sent to another plant. But hey if you have more senority then the ACH employees maybe you can transfer and follow your machines to another plant. Ford will not invest in a plant with labor problems and the International Union will not make them. Everything in the National agreement is based on Market Volume and sales. If sales and the volume of the auto market keep going down all bets are off you know volume related layoffs. If you turn down the National or local agreement your plant will be on the hit list also. Ford wants plants that want to compete with the world you can be part of the solution or the problem this is your choice. Just ask the GM or Chrystler employees that are laid off now.
  11. They would have made money but they had to pay all their overpriced Executives bonuses for Screwing the working man.
  12. Appendix I - Dipshit the local can shove anything they want in you for new work. Get real the contract is setup to change at a moments notice. If the elected leadership thinks they can screw another local to get new work they can do it under appendix I of the National Contract. Their are many more unpublished letters of understanding that you will never see why do you think the UAW never made Ford live up to their obligations under the old Job Security program GEN.
  13. Group 99 better known as Skilled Trades. How will you like being laid off to the street while Ford adds a bunch of the $14.00 an hour two tiered workers. You will not have a choice. If you do not have any production time you will not work at Ford. By this agreement Ford will be able to effectively Layoff Skilled Trades employees to the street that do not have production time and hire new employees under the two tiered system and have them do your job while you are laid off by calling it a breakdown and using them under the helping hands concept. Contractually by keeping all of the skilled classifications and not combining them they can layoff all but one of each classification and all of the Laid off skilled trades employees go to the street and Ford can still hire new employees to do production work at the $14.00 an hr scale. This is a fact and it was used in the contract when Chrysler sold out to General Dynamics. They cut out the Skilled Trades except for one in each trade and were able to hire from the street without recalling skilled tradesmen in similar classifications. Get ready, Ford considers skilled trades to be non-core. Ford will contract out most all of the maintenance to their vendors and we (Skilled Trades Group 99) will be on the street. If you do not have production time you will have no chance to keep your job under the new agreement. If you have 20 or 25 years seniority and no production time you are screwed. Vote no or lose your job. Make Ford protect all current employees before they can hire under the two tier system. This is wrong seniority should count for something. Vote NO and make them respect seniority. Cut out 50 percent of Mulallys and Fields corporate jet vacations and it will pay for us keeping our jobs in skilled trades or production.
  14. Im sure that Ford hired a big marketing consulting firm to tell them what kind of shit to release to the press to help pass a national contract. Im sure all the Comp Execs and Union Bosses are shitting their pants seeing this close of a Vote at Chrysler.
  15. http://www.cleveland.com/plaindealer/stori...coll=2#continue Lets keep our Jobs and punish the overpaid management. Shame on them for pitting two locals against one another. I hope they enjoy the shitty quality of their India castings.
  16. When will you people wake up and see what is really going on. Yes we will see new work in Lima, but already you can see that management is splitting the trades from production employees. What is the difference nothing. If we continue down this path LEP should have three different Unions one for the Group 99 employees and one for the Production employees and one for the Temp employees and the UAW should only represent 1 of the three groups. Production or non skilled employees will be on the assembly line and the skilled trades will run the machining areas. The local union said that no temps would be allowed in the machining areas and already they have several titled as temps in the machining areas to protect low seniority employees. This practice is wrong. Seniority should rule. Trick fucking the contract by management should not be allowed at any level. Management is kissing the ass of junior employees because they will do what ever they ask of them. While a Senior employee will make them account for their shitty management decisions. The only thing that will change Ford Motor Comp is when the Union Officials in each local start holding their local management accountable for not doing their job. All Locals should start this by sharing information at sub council meetings and sending the information all the way to the top of the corporation through their local reps. This is not the time to sit back and wait. Activism is the key to change the path of Ford. Hold your local union officials accountable to make management do their job. One thing I agree with that Mullay has said is that Ford must get back into the sub-compact car market getting rid of the Escort was one of the biggest mistakes ever made. It is the base auto for young people to start out with a low priced car. Shame on you Ford for shunning your core.
  17. Can you post a copy of your highlights so we can understand what you are talking about. Thanks
  18. You are exactly right Furious1Auto. Shitty management not doing their job it what got us were we are today I know that our Local Union has bent over and took it too many times. It is time for us to stand up and make management accountable for their mistakes. The good Ole boy club needs to be shut down. I would be happy to do anything Management asks of me as long as it makes sense. The Local Unions need to start holding these overpaid non skilled Supervisors, General Foreman's and Managers accountable. The Ratio of Hourly to Management is ridiculous most of them cant run the jobs they supervise and the Engineers are already in damage control mode keeping information from the Hourly employees to try and save their job. Little do they now Ford is planning to have the Vendors take over their jobs and most all of them will be unemployed. Engineers are the next target after reducing the Skilled Trades.
  19. What are you dip-shit, a Kirby vacuum salesman (akirby). Go listen to some more Rush Dumbbaugh. The GEN was created to punish the company for their inefficiencies. The UAW has tried to get them off their lazy asses and come up with new products and keep up with what is going on in the world. The brass of Ford is a bunch of college buddies playing like they know how to run a company. They are in way over their head. They drove the company into the ground and keep giving themselves raises and taking the company helicopter to lunch across town. Look at Fields he lives in Florida and used the company Jet to commute to work. You want to talk about greed. These self serving assholes only take from the company and give nothing back. In Ford lingo they are Non Value added. This is not leadership, it is a bunch of spoiled brats all trying to see how much they can steal from the real workers of Ford Motor Comp. Wait and see what happens if they fund the VEBA with stock the elite rich and their spoiled brats will move their wealth around and again will suck money away from the working man. Look at all the people that retired and bought Ford stock through TESPHE at 30 or 60 dollars a share for 30 plus years what is it worth now 8 dollars it must be a coincidence that so many people were at retirement age that the stock in all these company's happened to bottom out and be on the verge of bankruptcy. I believe the wealthy control the market and they will move their wealth around until all workers are at a 3rd world wage. Their plan is not to bring these other country's up to our level with Free Trade but to bring us down. Wake up and watch out for Ford trying to buy your contract with a signing bonus to screw the retirees and the new hires of the future. Remember they (New Hires) will vote on contracts that will affect you as a Retiree. Gotta Love a big signing Bonus!
  20. Hey I got a idea lets use the Bankruptcy laws Like the Big Corprations do to screw their workers to demand pay cuts and give backs. I would say that a union contract is kinda like a loan once you agree to the terms the Credit card company isnt going to give you back any of your money they screwed you out of. If its good for old Corprate America its gotta be good for us. Oh I forgot Bush and the Repubs already changed the bankruptcy laws to screw the Consumers and not the Corprations. It was a good thought though. Ha HA
  21. Have you ever been to one?? Yes your delegates get to vote but usually their is only one person to vote for. Just make sure you get your goodie bag after you vote. Can you say Yea or Ney.
  22. The Problem with the UAW at all levels is LEADERSHIP the same goes for the company. The membership needs to start voting for people that can lead the union in the global economy. Their are not any free thinkers in the Union or Company leadership. They are all sheep and follow the the corporate or international union Shepard. We need to start voting for people that have an original idea and a vision instead of having a popularity contest for these jobs. With good leadership the Union could work on changing and pressuring the current management into making the decisions to change for the better or be severed from the company. We must start holding management accountable for their inadequacies if we are to thrive and keep our wages at a superior level the days of what the boss says goes are done. If they cannot answer the question of common sense they must go and it is our responsibility to question their decisions if it does not make good sense. This is the time to step-up and be a leader in your plant and force management to make changes and the right decisions. The status quo will only mean more pay cuts and give backs. Take charge of your destiny be a part of the solution and not part of the problem, be proud of what we can accomplish by speaking out and leading the way. Be a leader not a follower.

  24. I would like to say being a part of the Skilled Trades Production in the Vulcan V-6 and going into the new ISTP program that no one from the leadership in the Union or Management consulted the people that actually did the work and knew what worked and what didn't. There is no way that they can have a clue of what it takes to get where we got. I came from the area that made the most improvements in quality, productivity and total cost of the component. We fought bickered and worked through all our problems and became a single solid unit of productivity. we did not have a supervisor our team leader ran the floor and we had one member of management in our area that gave us what we needed to do our jobs. All of the people making the decisions in the ISTP program have no idea of what it took to get where we got. All of the Management and Union reps were too busy on the D35 to deal with us. We did what we did with the outcast management no Union reps to screw things up (with shitty ideas) surpassed everyones expectations. I would think that would be a hint and a half for your ass that the currant management and Union leadership couldn't find their ass with both hands. Yet they all take credit for something they no nothing about or were even involved in. The men and women that were involved in the Vulcan program took it upon themselves to make it work and prove a point that they did not need micro management they could do the job if Ford gave them the tools. Ford talks about empowerment yet they will not let free of the reins for fear that the workers will take over the floor and their jobs will only be in the office. I nor any other UAW worker is afraid to take responsibility of the production of our power-plants with the right leadership we can make FORD the envy of the world. Until they deal with their bureaucratic corporate management structure they will never excel above the competition.
