I don’t agree with making it look like an explorer or call it explorer. That’s redundant. Same powertrains as Nautilus.
I think they should ditch the 3rd row for more cargo room and give it a softer sleeker front grille. Thats easy to do on short notice. That would hold them over until a proper redesign.
The truth is they either haven’t made a decision yet or they haven’t finished all of the internal notifications before they make a public announcement.
A supposed Oakville supplier claims they’re extending Edge. Thats the most likely short term decision if all the suppliers can continue. If that’s the case they’ll be looking to move Nautilus back there and modify the current C2 Edge for North America.
Stop thinking of it as a work truck and think of it as a Town Car/Crown Vic replacement with a huge trunk that can carry lumber, mulch, plants or furniture with 3 across seating for 6 and can also tow a 10K lb boat or trailer.
Pull the battery cable for a few minutes. Other than that it’s a dealer issue. They’ll probably try reloading the software but might require a new apim.

That wasn’t directed at you or anyone here (although it would be apropos to a couple of folks). There is a car group on Facebook that is over the top declaring EVs are dead and nobody wants them.
The factory interval on gasoline vehicles is roughly 8000 miles, give or take. Most recommend changing every 5k to be safe. I would assume the same is true for diesel. Factory intervals are the bare minimum to get by.
Some costs are capitalized but not all. E.g. all the people working on next gen batteries and platforms and yet to be released vehicles are an expense with zero revenue.
