  1. Sure we have. The "new" Colorado is the same truck that they sell in Thailand.
  2. Or they can leave it up to the mfr whether they think their customers want DRLs like they're doing now. Mandating automatic headlamps would be a FAR more useful safety feature. Every day I drive home at dusk I see 5 or 6 vehicles driving with no lights at all or just DRLs with no taillights. It's light enough they can still see the road but you can't see them mixed in with all the other vehicles with lights on. I flash my lights at them and the majority do nothing as if they don't see me or don't understand. I don't even try any more.
  3. You could always trade the SE for a Titanium then you'd have the Source button.
  4. It's really simple - Ford will wait and see what happens with the NEW F150 and what happens with the competition in the meantime. Then they'll reevaluate to see if it makes sense to bring T6 Ranger here. The truly compact pickup is a new market segment that nobody is currently in and that will be a separate business decision. What you guys continue to not understand is that it's not about sales. I know Ford could easily sell 75K or even 100K T6 Rangers. But at what cost? There is engineering work for U.S. drivetrains at least and it's not easy to just import it so you may need a NA factory. And it will most definitely cannibalize some F150 sales so the question is what is the net incremental profit versus the big investment? It may still be positive but it may not be big enough to jump ahead of other things in the pipeline. Which would be better for Ford - 100K Ranger sales or an additional 100K F150 sales? There are virtually no incremental costs to add 100K F150 sales. The incremental cost to add 100K Rangers is significant. It's that simple.
  5. Please excuse my earlier rant. I just realized you may have MFT without the Sony system so you may not have a Source button on the center stack like the Titaniums. So if you have a SE or SE hybrid that would explain it. If you do have a Titanium and simply ignored my previous posts let me know so I can put back the scathing 48 pt. remarks.
  6. Hit Entertainment. Hit Sirius 1. Hit Navigation and you're right back where you were. Worst case 3 presses. Easier than hitting the Media button multiple times to go from Sirius to FM. Read what I wrote TWICE - you can still use the SOURCE button on the CENTER STACK which works exactly like the old Media button. But you have to take your hand off the wheel to press it. BTW - my wife's Edge has the Media button and I use it to go from FM to Sirius but I never use it to go from Sirius back to FM because it takes too many presses and goes through bluetooth, cd and other sources. So I know exactly what you're talking about.
  7. Here is what I do: 1. Cycle through FM stations on preset 1. Hit FM button. Do the same for preset 2. Hit FM button. Do the same for preset 3. Hit Sirius button. etc. etc. etc. Or you can use the SOURCE button on the center stack to do exactly what you describe. Of course now you'll complain that you have to move your hand from the wheel to do that.
  8. They're referring to the old media button on other models' steering wheels that just goes to the next source with each press. It still takes several presses - at least 6 to go from Sirius 1 back to FM 1. You guys are totally overlooking the Source button on the center stack. It works just like the old Media button on the steering wheel. But it's still SO much easier to go to the Entertainment screen and press what you want then go back if you're not already on the Entertainment screen. And if you are there it's only one press. Or use voice control.
  9. If you can't see a vehicle due to glare then you can't see DRLs. I have never seen a Toyota or Honda with regular DRLs - that must be new. The NHTSA - the ones who mandated TPMS and many other things that some people might question - decided not to mandate them based on actual data from both Canada and Europe.
  10. Correct! And that's NOT a mid-sized pickup. It's a small crossover or B or C car or hybrid. Or some new smaller unibody pickup. And you have no experience with common sense.
  11. Not with the same button that goes through the stations (above the volume control). That just cycles through the stations on each Sirius group and won't change to the next group. Unless you're talking about the MyFord controls on the right hand side of the cluster - haven't played with those yet.
  12. I believe this is typically fixed by replacing the microphone and/or updating the software.
  13. The only time I use the media button in my wife's Edge is to go from FM to Sirius. To get back requires so many media presses and activating bluetooth connections, etc. that it's way faster to go to the Entertainment screen and press Sirius once. That is (at most) 2 presses.
  14. Yes, you are wrong again. It's only an upward trend the last 3 years. Compared to the last 13 years it's still trending downward. 2000 147,295 2001 161,983 2002 151,960 2003 154,154 2004 152,933 2005 168,831 2006 178,351 2007 173,238 2008 144,655 2009 ???? 2010 106,198 2011 110,705 2012 141,365
  15. Looking internally? What does that mean? Ford built the previous gen Fusion and MKZ in the same plant with the same workers for 7 years with no problems. It was the company's highest quality plant. They build and deliver over 2M vehicles per year with very few problems. It's a classic case of making too many changes too fast and cutting too many corners due to too much cost cutting. I see it all the time and I don't work for Ford.
  16. The NHTSA reviewed the evidence from other countries including Canada and determined there was not sufficient evidence as to their effectiveness to mandate them. Motorcycles are much harder to see than cars - apples and oranges. My belief is that they don't make any difference in daylight and that most accidents where someone pulls out in front of another car or turns left in front of them is because they failed to even look therefore DRLs would not have helped. I find it hard to believe that a driver who looks but doesn't see a full sized car close enough to hit them and that DRLs would change that. Other than GM, which mfrs have standard DRLs other than the decorative LEDs which are more styling than safety? I can't think of any.
  17. They're not incompetent - they were asked to do too much (too many changes from the previous vehicle) too fast. They had similar problems with the Escape and Focus which are in the same category - European designs being built in North America for the first time. I believe they'll learn from this and slow it down a little and get control of their processes and new suppliers. They can't afford another screw-up like this.
  18. I agree that Ford should have been more clear about all of the Fusion models, options and features. Before they announced the HyTi I asked a Ford employee if he/she knew whether there was going to be a HyTi since I wanted a hybrid but also wanted intelligent access. He/she said it was shown as "on hold" in the internal documents that he/she saw. It takes many months to plan and deliver a new model - it's not something they'd do at the drop of a hat in just a couple of months. They may have given it the green light earlier than planned based on customer feedback but it was already ready to go. I believe they held it back initially so as not to conflict with the MKZ hybrid launch.
  19. Dual exhausts were always tied to the 2.0L EB engine (which was standard on the regular Ti). The confusion came from some pre-production auto show cars having them on other models and some errors in Ford's documentation.
